With a rich family history dating back to the 1960's in the King neighborhood, Keys Lounge aims to preserve the area's character amidst rapid change. The institution was created by the team behind Radio Room, a beloved neighborhood spot, and was born out of a desire to restore a neglected building in the community.
The building that now houses Keys Lounge was once in disrepair, with a crumbling foundation and collapsing roof. Through careful restoration efforts, the team was able to salvage the historic storefront and signage, even repurposing old locksmith contents and keys left behind. The result is a unique and welcoming lounge that pays homage to the neighborhood's past while providing a comfortable space for neighbors to gather and socialize.
