"Bad place to put your kids . The house furnitures carpet toys everything is dirty and seem old. The smell is unhealthy , the space is crowded and dark. More than that the owner was rude to our 2.5 years old , she didn't allow her to sit on the sofa and that was our first visit. Whenever my daughter touch something the owners yelled NO STOP. Short message to the owner please next time try to show some respect and love to the kids and their parents I don't recommend this place even for free"
"Laurie and Jerry are amazing with kids. We interviewed at 8 months pregnant and knew it was the place. Our baby started daycare at 3 months old. The transition from home to day care was the same, so it really is like home. Our baby gets excited to come to day care, play with toys, go outside, and baby gets to learn. What is even better is the daycare is close to downtown Everett!"
"I had an excellent experience having my son attend just like home daycare from 2 months to two years. Laurie and Jerry are the most caring and helpful people, and were there to help my son through all his stages. She also teaches pre-school and is an amazing teacher. My son had such an great experience here with his friends and misses Laurie and Jerry dearly."
"I pulled my daughter from this daycare after finding out about several things I find to be unacceptable about the facility and it's director. The house is in desperate need of a remodel and does not have adequate space to provide for kids of various ages. My daughter spent the majority of her time at the dining room table because there is no infant room and therefore the playroom is used for this purpose. The play area outside is rarely used and the toys are older and worn out. It almost seemed that the facilitator will use any excuse NOT to let the kids play outside. There is no air conditioning provided so during these hot days my daughter often came home hot and uncomfortable and many of the children appeared to be the same way. I did find out she has an A/C unit in her bedroom but only uses it for private purposes. The facilitator was the final straw for me. Turnover at her daycare is high for obvious reasons so my 4 year old was often complaining about the lack of kids her age to play with. Her method of caregiving is outdated and over-aggressive as she tends to take the "children should be seen and not heard" approach and lacks the ability to empathize from a child's perspective. She boasts 30 years experience in caring for kids but has never had children of her own giving me the impression overall that she is burnt out on caring for children. I decided to pull my daughter from this day care immediately upon finding out that she was told she would have to sleep without a pillow or blanket because I had forgotten to bring them after taking them home to wash them. She informed my daughter she will not provide these things in the case that they are forgotten, something my daughter didn't understand. I see that as punishing the child for a parent's mistake, which is completely unacceptable to me. She also made no attempt to contact me as I work one mile from the daycare and could have brought something. My final statement would be regarding her policies on payments. She requires you to pay for days she will not provide service including a week vacation that she can choose to take anytime she wants. She also takes "floating holidays" and "sick days" as she chooses which you are required to pay for and of course find another babysitter because she doesn't have any other employees so she's closed on these days. This is VERY challenging for the average parent to afford. I could go on but I spare you the details. Find another daycare out there and save yourself the trouble."
"This review was written on my yelp site, wanted to share it Written by Kayla S. Lake Stevens I must say I'm shocked by the 1 star reviews from a few years ago. My son has been going here for year now and I am so thankful we were able to get a spot here! Looking for childcare is a terrifying experience especially when it comes to the thought of your child not being in your sight as well as the finances. This in home daycare has provided a nurturing and structured environment for all of the children who attend. When my little guy gets dropped off he's all smiles and finds Jerry so he can do his morning routine of blowing on some hanging pictures. Every day I pick him up he gives me the face of "do we really have to leave". It makes me so happy to know my son is well taken care of and is creating a lifelong bond with these two caring people. Go check these guys out and see how happy these kids are every day, that will tell you just how awesome this place is."
