"Lovely tiny museum of local history. Currently featuring descriptive text written by local 8th and 9th graders. Great approach to getting youngsters involved in making history real."
"I was so happy to stumble upon this place during a jogging expedition through downtown Charlottesville. Like many buildings in Charlottesville, this building is so beautiful -- in the spirit of Thomas Jefferson's early architectural influence on Virginia and beyond. It has the magnificent marble Roman-style pillars, grand portico entrance-way, and marble balustrades around the roof- the style that Jefferson felt appropriate for important public buildings in the new democratic republic of America. There are some very interesting displays, an impressive book collection and I assume all kinds of historical materials available to the public. The workers that I met there were very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. I was so happy to be able to chat to them and look forward to getting emails from their organisation."
"You have failed this country it is a Disgrace what is happening , To OUR history right /wrong or indifferent. Taking down statues doesn’t erase nor solve any transgressions or deplorable things that have happened . Ignorance to facts is teachable, However for stupidity there is no remedy whatsoever. May GOD help us all before this DEMONIC SOCIALIST PARTY enslaves us all Satin is convincing you he doesn’t exist."
"Not much to see here in the way of exhibits and artifacts. Focused on providing research resources."
"Small but interesting display. Definitely worth popping in when you are in the area."
