"Super awesome place! I forgot to bring my own paddle, so I went to Ballard kayaking and paddling tour (up north) first to see if they can rent me paddles. The guy there just said they didn’t have any, but I saw they had a ton in the backyard. So I drove a bit south to surf Ballard. They were glad to rent me paddles ($10 for the day). The owner also guided me to the secret beach and showed me best kayaking route. I saw four seals in the water. It was fun!!"
"The owner is SO helpful! They have a clean and creative bathroom in the back, a hose to wash off the seaweed in the front, boards to rent or buy and wonderful maps to explain all the locations you can paddle. Yoga classes take place often and are so welcoming. Great selection of boards and clothes. Definitely a local store you should check out before you go out on the Puget Sound."
"If you plan to surf ballard make sure to stop in hear. This is truly an amazing place with a knowledgeable staff that feels like family. Stand up paddle boards are crazy fun. They even have outdoor partys sometimes"
"lisa was so kind to us! appointment only which is a bummer but she was available right away and very helpful. we rented a wet suit for a great price & the merchandise in the store was awesome so we got some gear too. excited for the beer and coffee patio to open up soon for a fun place to chill."
"Very relaxing and pleasant experience! We rented the stand up paddles a few months back and went for kayaks last weekend. The owner (in the store) was really nice and equally nice was the young guy on the shore from where we got and returned the kayaks. We'll be back in the future! PS: I see a one star review below saying the kayaks were filled with seawater and algae. Yes, that can happen. There was a bit of water on our kayaks as well. But we took them into the water where they will not stay dry anyway. I really don't see the point of such a critique. Thanks!"
