Reviews of Harborview Medical Center | Seattle Hospital
"Probable the 2nd best cleanest hospital I have been inside. Number 1 in being able to have you lost in under 2 minutes. Tied at number 1 for care for the patients however an 8 for caring for the safety. Apparently just anyone can get in and completely bypass security and get to patients. Overheard nurses talking on the phone about if someone is approved and when I looked up the person had just walked past me and up to the room. This was concerning. Other then that it's a great facility. I would kind of want to be here if I ever had to be in the hospital"
"Harborview is been one the two good hospital encounters that I had. My daughter had an overnight stay, and they were so thorough in what we needed to do and the care while she was there. And I was aloud to come to every wound care and help out. It's the first hospital outside her pediatricians that I truly wasn't scared of them having and devious intents. Every nurse and doctor sincerely wanted her to get better, and you could feel that's the true intent. They helped her feel cozy, being super friendly and giving her toys. Harborview is more than accommodating in terms of medical services. I'm grateful the pediatrician recommended them."
"Harborview Medical Center has truly changed my life and helped me beyond measure. The care team they've provided me at the Regional Epilepsy Center cannot be described. I'm so thankful for all of the amazing staff & employees here. Thank you for everything you do for people in the region."
"This hospital is really awful & terrifying & does the worst job possible. I went to their emergency room to be treated for an injury. They put me in the mental ward for no reason & lied to me before they did it. No psychiatrist ever spoke with me before or after they committed me. They left me in there for a week & never explained why. The doctor & staff in emergency room harassed me & didn't know what they were doing. I was not doing anything wrong & they put me in there for no reason. My insurance was charged for this long stay when this never should've happened. This hospital should close down."
"Had an unfortunate stay for ~7 weeks and visited many parts of this facility as well as encountered many staff members. ICU and TICU were both very professional departments that provided great care. PACU-B was where I first came out of intubation and was under the care of many wonderful nurses and technicians. The neurosurgery and orthopedic surgery teams both did excellent work on me to keep me alive. Radiology was always quick and they provided great care in keeping me comfortable while posturing for different images. Phlebotomy was mostly great; a few instances of digging for veins. A lot of travel nurses - some great, some not so great and borderline scary to be under care of. Housekeeping was okay. Sharing small rooms with other disabled patients kept expectations for immaculate cleanliness pretty low. Trauma nurses were all great and made me feel safe. Cafeteria is okay, but the staff members that delivered meals were always exceptionally kind and friendly. I felt a bit rushed out, but it was inevitable."
