"To Whom it May Concern: We are writing this note to express our appreciation for Nick Bailey and his work that ultimately led to our purchase of a Sundance Optima from Aqua Quip in August. Aqua Quip was our first stop in a list of many visits to spa dealers. We were greeted by Assistant Manager, Nick and were ultimately given a detailed and very pleasant explanation of the components and benefits of the Optima and other spas available at the showroom! As we left, we had been totally impressed by the product and Nick’s salesmanship. As a result, each visit to other dealerships only resulted in a comparison to what Nick had told us about the Optima. Ultimately, Nick made it possible for us to do an “in showroom” trial of the Optima with our grandkids. That opportunity sealed the deal for us. Nick then made sure we knew what units were available with their various options. We made our choice. From there the purchase and delivery process was very smooth. Since that time, we have enjoyed our spa on a daily basis! We are so thankful for Nick and his expertise! He made the process seamless! "I’ve visited this store when I had some time to kill between appointments. To consider this “window-shopping” would be an understatement— let’s be real here, a hot tub? In this economy?— but I found the atmosphere to be quite welcoming, even though I didn’t have money to spend at that time. The sales associate, Makaila, did a wonderful job of showing me around. There were hot tubs on display—ones filled with water, and fully operational—which she was very excited to show me. Again—all this, with the knowledge that I would not be spending any money that day. Normally, at any other establishment, as soon as the associate realizes they won’t be making a sale, they drop the act & move on to other matters—but not Makaila. Her friendly demeanor, on par with her level of knowledge about the products, were both genuine and sincere. Sales associates like her are the ones who are a foundational part of any business, as building rapport with future customers is equally as important as making a sale in the present time. Makaila let me know I was welcome back any time I had questions, concerns, or just a place to kill time & chat. While I may not be in a place to purchase a hot tub for the time being, I know that when that day comes, I’ll be going to the only person I trust to help me with such an important purchase; Makaila at the Lakewood Aqua-Quip."

"Idk what happened to my previous review, but these folks are legit! They went above and beyond to explain all the mixed info I was getting from YouTube, then told me flat what I actually needed, and in the end I saved hundreds if not thousands on stuff the internet said I needed but didn’t act need. They took time to explain and educate me in their store using a floor model as an example. And I’ve never had any problems with my water since. And to be clear, I only buy chemicals from them. I have not even purchased a spa or anything big yet. They still take the time to explain everything. Their prices may seem slightly higher than Amazon, but their chemicals go on sale often so I’ve never left feeling broke. Plus I buy way less since they make sure I have a clear plan every time. We ran a pool and hot tub all summer with no previous experience and had zero issues. Their advice was spot on! Highly recommend."

"We bought a hot tub for over $17,000.. We had water in it 7 days and it leaked all over. Obviously upset I called them and have been ignored by management as I have called three separate times requesting a return call from them to no avail! The service department let me know how lucky I am that my hot tub will be looked at after 5 days of NOT BEING ABLE TO USE IT!!! I have a text from Ryan at the Lakewood store guaranteeing they will take care of me if any issues! I guess I should have asked how they would take care of me!!!!! Buyer BEWARE!!!! Go elsewhere AND PAY LESS!!!!"

"I mostly review food and beer establishments, but in the case of Aqua Quip Tacoma and the store manager Ryan, I have to make an exception. We decided to purchase a hot tub during the pandemic shortage. A friend had purchased one from a different retailer and will not be getting it until 2022 so I figured we better get started. Ryan worked with us remotely on our requirements, and then helped us figure out where that fit with the models that they had on pre order. My tub is in and running already! My friend is quite jealous. Ryan was in constant communication about the delivery dates, and helped us plan for the installation. Ryan followed up afterwards to see how it was going and I let him know that one of the lights was out, and without prompting, Ryan sent out a technician. It turned out one of the LED's had simply slipped out during shipping. I'm very glad I opted to go through a great local retailer instead of a big box option."
