"My hubby and I were invited here by a friend and arrived at 5 pm. Please park in the parking lot in the same building where there is no Reserved sign area. Please remember to present your parking ticket as it will be validated at the restaurant. I took the parking elevator and got off at Seastar restaurant and went inside the building to the restaurant. The four of us sat in the spacious dining room in the back. The staff member who served us was very pleasant and professional. We first toasted with cocktails, champagne and wine, then had Dungeness Crab Cake and very delicious Nigiri Sushi. *sorry I forgot name of sushi. After that I ordered the Mahi Mahi on a friend's recommendation, and my husband ordered the Chilean Sea Bass and Filet Mignon and Swordfish from the sea menu. My Mahi Mahi was beautifully presented and made me smile. However, the taste was like Thai sweetchill sauce, which was too sweet for me. My husband's Sea Bass dish was more to my taste, so we shared it. I think it was delicious because my friend and his wife ate it all. Finally, for dessert we chose White chocolate coconut cream pie and friend chose creme brulee bourbon butterscotch. We had a great time and were satisfied. I would like to come here again"
"This was an excellent, excellent meal. Everything was prepared and served elegantly. We ordered the tower, salmon belly, deviled eggs, halibut ceviche, poke, and fries to start off. The tower included wonderful scallops and crab cakes - these were must haves. I’d recommend ordering just these to share; they were that good. The halibut ceviche and poke were also quite excellent. The fish was fresh and well flavored. The tortilla chips served with the ceviche were a little stale, but overall a minor nit in an otherwise excellent ensemble of appetizers. The truffle fries were shoestring fries, and honestly felt like frozen fries (not a bad thing). The sauces they came with were good, one was a truffle sauce and the other was ketchup. For the main appetizers, many in our party ordered the chilean sea bass and the scallops. Both dishes were superb; small portions and high prices but the meal was just very satisfying. In general, that was the theme of this entire meal - high prices, good food."
"We came here for Seattle Restaurant week, but we would come here on any given day. The food is good, the service is great. You can park in the building parking lot. The restaurant will validate the ticket for up to 3 hrs. All of our dishes were delicious-especially the truffle fries! Soooo good."
"We’ve been to Seastar a couple of times over the years and this was our third visit. I have to stay that I find this place rather uninteresting and also have a hard time understanding why everyone else seems to love this place. We enjoyed the oysters but the other main dishes we ordered were just alright. We liked the jambalaya but the fish was a bit overcooked. The bread was also some of the worst bread we’ve had in a restaurant, certainly not expected for a place with a similar price point. Overall I’d say this is an alright place and you would not be missing much if you choose to skip over."
