"We were referred to the Freedom team by some friends, and we're very glad we signed with them to deliver on our extensive kitchen and first floor re-imaging that they completed in early 2023. Although they were not the cheapest bid for us, their confidence and foresight into our project really showed, where some other firms either had been urging us toward simplified outcomes or had lacked detail in their approach. Now coming out the other side, both of the excellent design and architecture plans came through just as we had hoped! "I want to thank freedom, design and build for their outstanding work on our home in the Delray section of Alexandria. Our house sat on top of an old crawlspace from when the house was originally built in 1940. We knew that a dig out was a significant Project and we requested proposals from a number of local companies. A number of local firms gave us proposals, but informed us that due to the optic in business because of the pandemic, they would not be able to get to our project for a year or more. Freedom agreed to take on the project even though they were already busy. We began coming up with designs for a new basement. Using Tyler‘s architectural knowledge and his design teams suggestions we developed a highly functional basement area in a relatively small footprint. In the end we had 120 inch projection system with a 7.1.4 Dolby system and a technology closet that managed all of these assets as well as a full rewiring of the home, bringing the other speakers from five rooms as well as four outdoor cameras and four indoor cameras, security system, and a fully wired Amazon Alexa home into one area. Additionally, we have a half bathroom, a buffet area, a kitchen bar area with icemaker and refrigerator along with a seating area at the bar a table tennis area and finally a dartboard section. But the design changes did not end there. on the first floor, we moved the staircase, and in its place added a very large sports closet to hold the equipment for cycling, Tennis, Soccer, volleyball, and badminton. Dave K was a fantastic project manager giving us weekly updates in writing as to what was going on in the next week as well as weeks to come. We always knew what was coming next and he checked in on us nearly every day to make sure we were happy. What about the impact on your neighbors you ask? Its impossible to say that having 20 large loads of earth being removed from your home every few days does not impact the neighbors, but freedom always made sure not to do it during the morning and mid day rush and kept the jack hammers and power equipment work hours to reasonable hours of operation. The freedom team did all this work without significantly impacting our family, and they were always quick to address any issues or questions we had and the work was completed in a timely fashion. So in the end we commend the team for a great job and a big thank you for all their hard work."
