About the Business
The 90th Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry Regiment Monument, located in Sharpsburg, Maryland, United States, commemorates the brave soldiers who fought in the Battle of Antietam on September 17, 1862. The monument, dedicated in 2004, stands on the south side of Cornfield Avenue and features the inscription "Here fought the 90th Penna. (Phila) A Hot Place." This reconstruction of the original monument, which was built by veterans of the regiment using Civil War rifles, serves as a tribute to the sacrifices made by the soldiers. The project was funded by descendants of the 90th Pennsylvania Volunteers and designed by Gary Casteel of Four Winds Studio.
