The 14th Connecticut Volunteer Infantry Regiment Monument is located in Keedysville, Maryland, United States. Dedicated on October 8, 1894, this monument commemorates the bravery and sacrifice of the regiment during the Battle of Antietam on September 17th, 1862. The regiment advanced to this point in a charge, fell back to a cornfield fence, and held their position for nearly two hours before being sent to support other brigades. The monument stands on the line of companies B and G, near the left of the regiment, where they suffered heavy casualties. The regiment lost 38 killed and mortally wounded, 88 wounded, and 21 reported missing in this battle. This monument was erected by the State of Connecticut in honor of the regiment's service and sacrifice during the Civil War.
