"Most people don’t know what Popodicon is or they have never heard of it. That to me is what adds to the beauty and the charm of the area. Popodicon is definitely a great area in Shepherdstown to have an event at. It’s one of the better priced options as well especially if you’re looking to have a bigger event than most. The house both inside and outside is historically maintained giving it a feeling and a sort of life that you can’t get anywhere else. The people in charge are so polite and willing to help you have the event of your dreams. We had our wedding there outside on the front lawn and it was all we could have hoped for and more. My wedding party and immediate family got ready in the house, and it was so easy and convenient to have everything in one location at one place. The house also has heat and AC as well as multiple kitchens and living areas if those are things you may need to utilize for your event. There was a football game occurring at the time of our wedding, but even still, my event and my guests were completely separate and taken care of as the day went on. Nothing interfered with our special day and there were no interruptions. The photography options on the property are absolutely breathtaking! We have so many shots from that day to give us enough memories to last a lifetime. All of my guests complimented our choice of venue and loved how the event turned out. I will be booking the venue again for future events and needs. So, I strongly recommend for anyone booking any event soon to book it here and have the best one possible!"
