"I am taking the time to write this review because I am passionate about Behavioral Health services, privacy, and clients in need. If it wasn't for my daughter's therapist, Mary, we would've cancelled our services with Ohana and seek services elsewhere. Mary has been, and continues to be, a great therapist to my 14yr old daughter. The techniques Mary uses has helped ease that anxiety/awkward feeling when first meeting someone. Her approach with introducing games like Jenga questions has made it fun and memorable for her. The reason for my rating is because of the Administrative/Billing workflow. I attempted multiple times to call Ohana to get a better understanding of the requirements of having a credit card on file and to discuss my bill. When my calls were not getting answered, I finally decide to leave a voicemail for a call back. Instead for returning my call as requested, I was emailed a response. This type of communication is not an effective communication especially when a dialogue was requested and needed. My concern was the terms and condition of automatically charging my card on file "as needed". I will happily pay my bill when due, but my ask was to not blindly charge me automatically. I was willing to come into the office before the visit to pay my bill but that wasn't an option. A card must be on file and auto-charged. Ok, fine. At the very least I wanted an invoice, bill receipt, something to know what I am being charged for. It had been almost a year without me having a card on file, but because we switched from a tele-visit to an office visit, we now have a charge due. And it was only then when there was a concern with no credit card on file. I get it, you don't want people having outstanding bills, not pay for services rendered. Then look at ways how you can improve your administrative/billing workflows, keeping in mind the customer service and support side of things."
"After a couple of online sessions with Daisy I feel very motivated. Daisy is very attentive and uplifting. She responds quickly and is flexible in scheduling our meetings. I am positive that with her direction and positivity I will make really good progress. I can't wait to have our next session and tell her about what I have accomplished since our last session and to hear what guidance she has for me on what my next steps will be. Meeting online has been so good for me because it enabled me to have more options. I don't live close enough to visit the office, but meeting online feels almost as if we are meeting in person. I'm a single mom with five kids, three are in early adulthood and two are teenagers. I also have a 2 year old grandson. Daisy makes me feel like I can accomplish anything even when I feel bogged down with responsibilities. I would 100% recommend my friends and family to her practice."
"As a previous intern with Ohana I cannot expresses enough how much I learned throughout my time with Ohana. I worked directly with Daisy who provided me with skills and knowledge that I needed to further my love for working in the field of mental health. Daisy and her team at Ohana provide amazing care and compassion for their patiences."
"Horribly unprofessional, scattered and seem to be out for money rather than your mental health. Their scheduling coordinator makes visits for you without your consent or knowledge in attempt that seems to bank off of late cancellation fees and doesn’t communicate effectively with therapists in order to schedule accurately, problem solve or communicate any issues with you directly and outright lies. As a Starbucks Partner I receive Lyra Help as a benefit and was wrongfully charged despite proper communication on my end and the fact that their therapist was not in the Lyra System as promised in my first email. I received my refund but won’t be back. I find it hard to trust a counselor who works for such a dishonest business. I am only giving this place 2 stars as I appreciated what help I was able to get by talking with Nicole Black. Maybe if she was with a different office I would try again."
