Reviews of Capitol Steps
"As far as steps go, these do exactly what they were designed for; to take you from a lower height to a higher one, or vice-versa."
"Nice area for a walk watching the locals do so!! Didn't check when built but looking at the amount of marble in these buildings I would be afraid to guess cost!!! Looking at size of thickness in blocks I would guess around 1,000,000 tons or more in weight!!!"
"The Capitol Steps link the State Capitol Building to Capitol Lake Park. As I have photographed the Capitol Building over a hundred times from every vantage I can find, I have shot this area many times and am quite familiar with its design and aesthetic. It's a nice little park. Not once, no matter the time, have I ever NOT seen other people walking the path towards or away from the lake."
"Went for an "Open Carry" rally for the 2nd Amendment Rights! The buildings are beautiful! Police respectfully secured the area. Only 1 counter protester. No issues. Had an amazing day"
"A great place to visit. Enjoyed the historic tour offered at the top of the hour. History abounds when you visit our state capitol building and the surrounding campus. Bring a camera and ask questions. The historic displays offer information to our states history. There is a gift shop located down in the capitol building. Bathrooms are also beatiful, they have kept their 1920s look."
