"This place is phenomenal and a must see!! If you aren’t drawn in by the intricate detailed gravestones of the town’s most prominent past citizens, then at least stop to see the creepy stuffed Leprechaun that is bungee corded to the tree in the far left corner of the cemetery. I have often wondered while walking through this peaceful, serene place, if that Leprechaun was placed there to protect the family plot the Leprechaun dangles over, maybe a protector of the cemetery against the invading yard gnomes who may try to infiltrate the cemetery at night to steal the trinkets left behind by loved ones who visit their deceased loved ones. I recommend walking through the historic buildings in Port Townsend first, especially the Palace Hotel that was once a brothel owned by the notorious Captain Tibbal, whose daughter Blanche has a beautiful gravestone ay Laurel Grove."
