Reviews of Battery Kinzie
"Really cool to explore but fairly creepy inside when it's pitch black"
"Old battery at the top of Port Townsend. This location is on the lowlands along the beach. There are bathrooms a campground and a lighthouse nearby. You can rent kayaks too. You must have a Discovery pass to show in the car. $30 for annual pass for all WA state parks."
"Great place to revisit occasionally. But during the warmer weather you got idiots screaming, yelling and jump scaring others that are peacefully trying to observe the rellacks. I'm serious disappointed with the graffiti, vandalism and littering of this American historic monument."
"This Battery is right next to the beach campground and overlooking the water (like the others). The view of the sunsets and sunrises from atop the battery are gift to be seen and great opportunity for photography. Lots of fun to explore while visiting Fort Worden State Park, along with the lighthouse and many other historical landmarks. 3 stars for the lack of representation of the indigenous people that lived there for thousands of years before euro american settler colonialism destroyed the salt water paradise that once existed there."
"A pretty cool old battery or military Bunker that you can walk around in and on top of. The yellow lupine were in bloom while I was here. There is a large parking lot in front of this and it's only a short walk to the lighthouse, beach and Campground from here. There is a pay station here if you have cash otherwise one that takes credit cards near the entrance."
