"I took my 16 month old daughter to see the canyon this morning and wow! What a view! Absolutely worth the trip to see. A few tips: keep your children safely strapped in their stroller accidents happen and the canyon is very deep, bring proper walking shoes to get there, snacks for children are highly recommended as the walk around the canyon can take a bit."
"The Yelm Canyon provides an out of body like experience! It is truly breathtaking. There are no safety railings. If you are hiking, take care - Sudden drop-offs, not for those with depth perception or vertigo issues."
"This canyon is at the core of my memories!!! This was an experience of a lifetime!! I feel like this has been a part of some of my family's wildest core memories. The first time I made it to the ledge had to 89' in my dad's black pinto. I swear we had a many of picknicks from Doug's and then to the swimming hole. 10 recommended!!"
"Well great the secret is out! I've been a regular visitor of the historic Yelm canyon since I moved her a few short years ago, breathtaking is the only word that comes to mind to describe it. Great place for family photos, or a challenging descent to the bottom, just be warned, four wheel drive and a lift is recommended!"
"It's awesome to have an affordable attraction near home to visit like this. We love to go after we visit Lee's Barber. I have been all over this beautiful country and haven't experienced a "canyon" as robust as this one anywhere else. I think that scene from Thelma and Louis might have been filmed here. *Definitely don't drive into the canyon if you value your rims, tie rods, etc..."
