"We have explored the lower parts of this park and spend many days on the super sandy beach, but decided to explore up higher this trip. Worth every stair up the trail. Lots of stuff to explore, bring a flash light as a lot of it is dark. Great views of the water to be had."
"Battery Ash was a hike. I loved going through all of the tunnels and old buildings, the only drawback is that if your not paying close attention to where your party is going you will get lost. My in-laws did this very thing and were lost for over 40 minutes. A helpful resident found us and told us where we could find them."

"This spot in Fort Warden is badass. The feeling that surrounds this place is spooky, yet exciting. It's like an adult playground. If you bring kids, please watch them closely as there are a lot of places to get hurt if your playing around. I know from personal experince as an adult hahaha Enjoy the history and the beautiful scenery. It's a really special place."
