"Awesome location to take your dog(s). Everyone else thinks so too, so parking may be a challenge. There is an off leash area, and you can get anything from a short stroll to a good trimp in. We took the outer Boundary trail down to Confluence Point, then the Confluence trail back and got a decent 4 mile trimp in. Trails can be very muddy and slippery."
"Great place for a casual hike, especially if you want to take your dog off leash. It's gorgeous out there."
"This place ruined taking my dog for a walk anywhere else. It’s the best place ever. And it’s all off leash! So much variety, whether you want to walk wooded trails or open fields, it’s got you covered and more. Lots of river beach access to the Sandy and the Columbia. It’s so much more than just a dog park. I try to go at least 2 or 3 times a week."
"Heads up 1,000 acres dog park pals... I've interacted with 2 dogs at the park. They didn't have collars or tags. They were intact males. I was there early AM and there weren't any humans behind me or infront of me, which leads me to believe these dogs might belong to people who are living in tents at or around the park. The dogs were friendly to my dog. They were stand off-ish towards me and didn't approach me. They also were NOT mean or aggressive towards me or my pup. It was quite fascinating to see these two dogs move, run, and look out for each other. It felt like I observed pack mentality for sure. My female dog, goes bananas around intact males. I'm posting this just as a heads up. Happy trails y'all!"
"I love the Sandy River Delta park. It is beautiful and the wildlife that you can see there is pretty amazing. In fact, I caught a little clip of video of a mated pair of eagles up in a tree above the river today. Having said that, The homeless camps as you go further towards town up along the riverside have gotten completely out of hand and something needs to be done about them. It is awful with a capital A W F U L"
