"Great shops on the first floor open 11-5 Mon-Sat, gorgeous chapel for weddings and ballroom for events. Free tours of this amazing building Wed. Thurs, Friday 10-2 - the docents are wonderful...well worth taking the tour!!"
"This place was BEAUTIFUL!!! first time ever being inside this building and it was absolutely stunning. Like taking a trip back in time. So glad Vancouver has kept some of its history."
"This place is so beautiful and magical! The architecture is very well maintained and has a lot of history. I got married here and the staff was above and beyond. I highly recommend the community to check out their event space, chapel and tours. Kaylee and Mary were so sweet, professional and attentive, and made our journey very easy. They also have tours. Highly recommended!"
"I was married here on 9/9/23 and everything about our day was perfect! The space, the staff, the coordination leading up to the event, everything was absolutely flawless. This is the perfect venue to host your wedding if you are looking for a classic/timeless feel. We did not have a religious ceremony, but chose the space because it is where my parents were married as well. Renting the space also includes a bridal and groom's suite to get ready in the day of, as well as a venue coordinator (shoutout to Kaylee for being the best)! Could not recommend this space more if you are looking for a stunning space with all the amenities for your big day. Photography: Megankinnunenphoto"
"Mother Joseph Pariseau raised money for the construction of the House of Providence and other charitable institutions by leading begging tours through local mining camps. The building, constructed in 1873 and designed by Pariseau, has three stories and was constructed in brick in a neo-Georgian style. The house functioned as a school until 1969.[4"
