"Beautiful, serene lake; perfect for paddleboarding, swimming or fishing with the family. Watch out for the contaminated water warnings that pop up as the weather warms up and algae starts to bloom."
"Beautiful, well kept park. There are plenty of play areas for children. The bathroom isn't well pretty. The door is filthy and hard to open. Watch your fingers when opening! There's an area where you can rent canoes and some water equipment. There's life vest hanging for public use. Watch the water quality index. The day we were there, there was a fecal beware for the lake, but it wasn't posted on site, and several people were out on the lake. I truly enjoyed my walk by the lake and definitely will be coming back! Even going to go canoeing on the lake when water is safe."
"This is a lovely little park that also provides the parking for the South Trailhead for the Lacamas Heritage Trail. Picnic tables with charcoal barbecue stands, play structures, walking paths, restrooms with flush toilets & running water. There always seems to be plenty of parking for vehicles with trailers. However, regular vehicle parking spots can fill up quite quickly on beautiful summer weekends. The boat launch area always seems to be quite congested. Irregardless of the no swimming signs from the pier that’s not stopping anybody anytime soon (other than weather). Kayakers and paddle boarders seem to feel they have the right away at the boat launch even though their boats can be easily walked in from the parking lot. I have witnessed the frustration of many wakeboard boats and fishing boats waiting to launch their watercraft. The no parking signs at the boat launch aren’t stopping the high density of entitled boaters here. The water is nice and calm at this park and many boaters are very respectful that it is a no wake zone. Paddling my kayak north into the main body of Lacamas lake can offer some choppy waters for small boaters no matter of the time of day. The park is dog friendly. The rules technically state that dogs must be on leash .However in practice this rule is grossly ignored."
"Love walking the trails. Easy paths for all ages. We just wish there were more pet disposal areas. We noticed that people either leave their animal waste along the trail or in a bag on the trail. I think if there were more disposal cans along the trail, it would keep it more tidy for families to enjoy."
"Another beautiful spot we were pleasantly surprised on how many people were here yet so calm and serene. Our dogs loved the shoreline and able to walk in the grass just a few feet away. Young ones coming in on Kayaks with huge carp. We will come back soon."
