Reviews
"Nice use of a wonderfully historic building - a 1913 Carnegie Library. Exhibits very clearly mounted and informative. Wonderful volunteer staff. I just wish they would have more exhibits mounted during the year."
"A small free museum in an interesting building. A lot of current displays devoted to the nationally recognized marching band. New displays in 2024."
"The people there were very friendly. They told us that they change the exhibits so we should come back. I liked how they had a variety of information from the railroad stations to the high school to the immigrants to little local gems of information. The place is very clean and so was the bathroom which was filled with pictures which were very informative as to how Gresham was like back in the day. It was free to go in and we left a little donation on our way out. Our Hearing Service Dog Mocha was welcomed with open arms. The museum was well put together with tibits of information and we also completed all three of their Scavenger Hunt sheets. They had three different levels, one with pictures on it, one that was a little bit harder, and one that was challenging. It was a lot of fun reading and learning all about Gresham's history. I would highly recommend this place and will probably come back to this wonderful place. Such wonderful and kind people working there. So very welcoming and so warm. Thank you so much for your wonderful hospitality!!"
"Fantastic opportunity to learn more about the history of Gresham and the people who helped to make it a fantastic community! The building itself is a fantastic gem of the community. You might even see a few black and white photos of the dealership when it was near the present day Gresham City Park."
"This is the crown jewel of Main Street, if not Downtown Gresham. The building alone, The Gresham Carnegie Library, is now on the National Register of Historic Places and will be protected for generations to come. A great place to visit snapshots Gresham's History, but also American pioneer history. It is the closest thing we have to time travel."
