Reviews of Columbia Pacific Heritage Museum
"Lots and LOTS of Maritime, Railroad, and the local history of the Long Beach Peninsula... gorgeous building is being refurbished. Informative and knowledgeable people who care and donate their time to keep this important history alive. No fee to enter but I suggest a nice donation! Go! B-)"
"Must visit. History of Chinook peoples, Ilwaco, trains, The Graveyard of the Pacific, and much more. Nice gift shop with Chinook Justice tees and hoodies."
"The Portraits in Red exhibit was powerful and well displayed. The rest of the museum is fascinating, with a working model railway and beautiful dollhouse sized replicas of real homes. There is so much more to see than I expected and i really enjoyed seeing all of the displays of homes, businesses, and ocean exploration devices. The life vests were one of my favorites. There are two floors and you can explore on both sides of the gift shop so don't hesitate to wander! A really enjoyable experience."
"Great little museum rich in history of the area. Had a visiting exhibition when I went that was fantastic! So happy i made the time to stop!"
"Lovely volunteers kept me informed as well as entertained for 90 minutes. There are many areas of interest presented in dozens of dynamic displays. There is even a real train car as well as a miniature train on a track. Local and indigenous artists have pieces available for purchase. Loads of free brochures on local attractions, a small library of books for sale, and informative plaques feed the curious. Ample free parking next to the two story historic building."
