"I booked a sturgeon/salmon trip with Drew and was not disappointed. Drew is knowledgeable, thoughtful, personable and packs a great lunch. He's also very ethical and handles all the fish we caught with respect. Despite the fact that very few salmon had come over the dam the day before, he still managed to put us on enough fish to quickly limit out while it looked like other boats immediately next to us weren't catching. If they were, we were too busy to notice! Once the salmon bite slowed, we set out bait for sturgeon and it was nonstop action for several hours with multiple double hookups and even 2 triple hookups. We spent just about 45 minutes fighting and landing a massive sturgeon only to wind up hooking another monster a short while later that we unfortunately lost (though after the first one that size, we probably would have been beat for the rest of the fishing trip if we reeled in a second). We ended the trip with 6 salmon and 15 sturgeon with many more missed (due to our errors, not Drew's!). Our salmon fillets were delicious. Since it's a very short boat ride out to where we were catching fish, our time actually spent fishing was maximized and we had a restroom nearby if we needed it. My only regret is not booking a second trip while we were out there. Of all the chartered trips, this is one I will be making again."

Drew was thoughtful, funny, and a complete professional when it comes to fishing and guiding. While we did not catch a fish (did have a few on the line) Drew was determined to the very end to get us one. "My wife and I had a spectacular day of fishing with Drew! We got to fish for both steelhead trout and sturgeon. We were on the fish first thing in the morning, so he clearly has some excellent fishing spots and knowledge of the area. We caught a number of steelhead trout, sizes 2 ft to 3 ft plus, which put up quite a battle. What a spectacular fishing experience! We were fortunate enough to catch a hatchery Steelhead trout, which means we got to keep it. He filleted it, and sent us home with it back to PA to enjoy it a few days later. He was very accommodating in every for my wife and I, from bathroom breaks to a delicious simple lunch, making it the perfect private fishing charter to catch fish and enjoy the river. A beautiful reasonable sized fishing boat, well maintained gear and a variety of baits and techniques made for the perfect day.
