"Easy walk down to the water. Also a nice loop hike connects. Beautiful spot that is very quiet. Public area is to the right. More fun when it is low tide"
"A pleasant loop around a quarry and path down to the beach to view the old kiln. A big tree ferned forest with nice views. Worthy of a stroll."
"A short hike to a quiet cove. There are a lot of signs to keep out of private property so there are limited areas to explore. The water is clean. There is a pebble beach. The trail to the quarry is simple and short. Good for anyone with mobility issues."
"Judd Cove Preserve is a pleasant spot on the northwest end of East Sound. As a land bank preserve, it is a community owned and managed piece of pristine property which is made available for the public's enjoyment. There is a number of things to explore within the preserve including an old lime kiln close to the water, an old logging/mining road which wraps around the preserve and makes for a secluded walk in the woods, and of course, the cove itself where you can find a sandy beach with a small waterfall emptying into the ocean. This spot seems to stay off the radar for most visitors, but as a local (in past years), I found Judd Cove to be my escape from it all. Moran Park is always kinda crowded, so I found all the holes in the wall that i could find. Judd Cove was my typical go-to being close to town (Eastsound), and the fact that so few (tourists) seemed to even know it was there. If you happen to find it by chance, consider yourself lucky, but I wouldn't doubt things are a little busier there these days. Always be mindful that this place is owned by private individuals, and is a community organized effort to preserve the natural value of the land and the delicate ecosystems that thrive in these small cove environments. I strongly support the initiative, and hope to see places like these remain open to the public."
"Sweet short half mile hiking trail. Loads of ferns! Pretty spring wildflowers. Lime kiln from when the island was used to mine and sell lime. Beautiful beach in a nice cove. Pretty little waterfall."
