"They have the best dessert I've savored across the USA, this spot exudes culinary brilliance. The chef and crew radiate warmth, making every guest feel right at home. While the vibe leans a bit formal, it sets the stage perfectly for special occasions or classic romantic dates. The seats? Oh-so-comfy. They give you tiny flower bouquets. A sweet touch, courtesy of the chef's mom. Upon arrival, you're greeted with tiny portraits with your party name, flowers, and a delightful amuse-bouche, plus some seriously tasty sourdough – some of the best in Washington! Every dish is a masterpiece, carefully crafted with a burst of flavors and textures that'll make your taste buds dance. Got a little bit sad because they don't offer cocktails, just wine and champagne. But let's talk dessert – hands down the best in the USA. Everything was just lovely and delicious. Perfect for a date night. Downside, was only that if your table is located near the big window room, the person facing the window have to deal with car beams flashing from the street through the windows, they should put a curtain or semi transparent barrer. Overall? It is worth it for an unforgettable traditional, formal dining experience. Comparing Seattle prices, this place charges an honest amount of money for the high quality they are serving. I'm amazed how the gastronomic critics and Seattle food guides barely mention this place."

"Great food and wine pairings. It's a nice Michelin-esk experience We loved that they featured mostly female owned Washington wines, particularly the Red Mountain sub-AVA selection. Happily surprised by the cotton candy ganache bites & the seared scallops. The huckleberry olive oil dessert was a reach Try to sit at the counter so you can watch the food prep. The chef comes around here and there to explain the food They have a riddle type menu at your seats which was hard to follow as the courses came out we had no clue where we were on the tasting riddle sheet We were there from 6:20-9:15"

"Very few restaurants in seattle have a flair for amalgamating storytelling, service and food as well as Surrell does. We opted for the fall dining menu with zero proof cocktails. Some of the dishes would be the best we’ve had - The weather vane scallops, the octopus and the porcini sayabon were amazing! The zero proof drinks were complex and wonderful! The service was impeccable- the dishes were served with a flair, the chef introduced the source of the produce with most meals. Each guest had a handmade small bouquet of flowers (made by the chef’s mother) that you were encouraged to take home! As we left on a freezing night, we were offered a complimentary coffee or tea to go to keep us warm just outside the door! The meal had warmth and so did the ambience and service- Definitely one of the best places for a fine dining experience in seattle."

From the mulled wine that they greeted us with, to the bouquet made by the chef’s mom, and then the pop up coffee bar on the way out, this was quite simply one of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had. Aaron and team are clearly are invested in and know what they are doing. One thing that stuck out is that everyone genuinely seemed happy to work there, which came though in the service. Although expensive it’s worth every penny. I took my wife there for her birthday and we’re already talking about when we’ll come back. We sat at the chef’s table which we highly recommend.. learned a ton about the food and the staff was extremely attentive and personable."
