"Kitsap Transit is just not as reliable as they should be. They never start when you want them to, they take extra routes that only waste time, they operate unreasonably short hours on Saturday, they stopped operating buses 202 and 234 for seemingly no reason, they never seem to listen to any complaints, they're not doing anything about the staff shortage problem and whenever it's time to leave, the drivers always seem to be doing who knows what instead of leaving immediately. That problem is most evident with buses 221 and 225 as they always leave three minutes late. If the company wants to improve themselves, they should stop ignoring people's complaints. Otherwise, they ought to shut themselves down."
"I love working for this company, the work culture, irs almost like a family. Yes the hrs are wonky, but they take care of you!!! Truly Truly am Impressed with the dedication to the drivers and staff. I will never forget what they did for my family for christmas!"
"They perpetually run late, miss connections to foot ferry's, especially the Number 8 which turns into the 4 at 3 pm on weekdays....complaints fall on deaf ears...today 20 minutes late while an off-service bus sat at the dock with it's engines running and a driver sitting inside with her hands supporting her chin - bored. Horrible service to taxpayer and takes all commuters and other customers for granted....they epitomize why public transit is a waste if money and will never be part of the solution to congested roads in Kitsap County....But,if you commute to and from Seattle they will throw every resource known to man to facilitate your comfort and convenience and luxury and speedy transport....."
"I work here as an access operator. Best job I've had, so far. Good pay vs work load. Great benefits. Friendly people. Scheduling mistakes do happen. They are usually pretty good about calling when times change. If you make an appointment be sure to check your phone messages for time changes."
"I rode all over the place for so little money! Every one of the drivers were extremely courteous and very helpful. They all seemed to enjoy their jobs and drove carefully. I am an ex-cab driver and understand about working with the public. Every passenger was greeted as they were boarding. You could tell that they were sincere. I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who helped me. I'm riding again today!"
