South Sound Sailing Tours

"I recently had my third summer sailing adventure with Captain Corey on the Solution, and each time has been nothing short of amazing. Growing up in the Seattle and San Juan area, my familiarity with sailing the sound dates back to infancy, yet there's still something truly special about being out on the water. My wife and I kayak around the pacific Northwest and now exploring the south sound with its seals, porpoises, eagles, and local wildlife has been a delight. My first sail on the Solution, alongside my wife and her parents, presented a moment. We found ourselves perfectly positioned between Mount Rainier and the Olympics, basking in the sun and sailing peacefully and it was one of the most blissful and serene moments that I have ever experienced, it was like all of the stress and worry melted away and the only thing that existed was the sun on my face, the ocean air, and the beautiful view, an unforgettable memory. Inspired by our first sail, my wife and I organized a second trip with her friend and her 3 children from Minnesota, who had never seen the ocean before. The sailing adventure was a hit, providing unforgettable experience for all, especially the kids. Just yesterday, we embarked on our third voyage, celebrating my Mother's birthday with my Mother and Stepfather. Although the wind forecast seemed lackluster, we decided to set sail since there was no rain in sight. It turned out to be an excellent call, as we had just enough wind to navigate to the south side of Anderson Island. Along the way, we spotted seals, porpoises, and other birds and sea creatures, all culminating under one of the most spectacular sunsets I've witnessed (see images). It was an unforgettable day for everyone and we were so thrilled to be able to experience it on the water together. Going on a South Sound Sailing tour is a great way to spend the day and see the sound. it's much more economical than owning your own boat to do so but be warned, it will give you the sailing bug and you'll be thinking of how to get a sailboat of your own soon after :) These pictures are not enhanced, if anything they don't actually do the view justice to be honest."
