Reviews of Hoh Rain Forest Visitor Center
"The Hoh Rainforest is a true gem of the Pacific Northwest, offering an enchanting experience for nature enthusiasts and hikers alike. With multiple trails weaving through its lush greenery, visitors are treated to a variety of scenic routes and immersive encounters with the forest's diverse ecosystem. This captivating destination is especially breathtaking in the summer months, when the vibrant foliage is at its peak. However, it's essential to arrive early to secure parking, as the popularity of the area can lead to limited spaces during peak hours. For those looking to fully immerse themselves in the beauty of the Hoh Rainforest, embarking on a multi-day adventure is highly recommended. One particularly rewarding journey is the trek to Glacier, the final point of the trail. This extended hike allows visitors to delve deeper into the heart of the forest, encountering ancient trees, tranquil streams, and perhaps even glimpses of elusive wildlife along the way. Overall, a visit to the Hoh Rainforest promises an unforgettable experience filled with natural wonders and scenic delights. Whether exploring for a day or embarking on an extended expedition, this pristine wilderness offers endless opportunities for exploration and discovery."
"A very long drive to get to this amazing forest. It was well worth the trip with these 3 beautiful ladies visiting from New York and Barbados. Next time, I will stay overnight to explore extensively."
"Visited on a very rainy Saturday in September. There were a few construction zones on the way with wait times ranging from 5 to 7 minutes. Ranger handed out a map of the park with beautiful wildlife illustrations on the back. Parking lot was full but we managed to find a spot. From here you can hike 3 trails: The Hall of Mosses (0.8 miles or 1.2 km), The Spruce Nature Trail (1.2 miles or 1.9 km), or the Hoh River Trail (17.3 miles or 27.8 km)."
"Came on a Tuesday and we waited maybe 5-10 minutes to get in. We did have to park at the backpacking area (which is considered the overflow I believe) since we did arrive a little after 11 am. I would HIGHLY recommend coming during the week and not the weekend given that we still couldn’t park near the visitor center. The two main hikes were very easy. It was just a great time to stroll and take in the sights. Even though there were a good amount of people it didn’t feel busy. I believe this area is worth a visit."
"Unique, outstanding location. Be as early as possible to skip the crowd as here is one of the most popular spot in the area. There are miles of unbelievable trailers, just take the less famous one to enjoy the peace."
