"I treated my friend who came to Bellingham to a Zodiac 3 Hour Sunset Dinner Cruise around the bay. Conditions weren't great but the beautiful schooner itself was marvelous. The cruise was well organized, the dinner was tasty and the crew did a good job both operating the ship and taking care of the passengers/customers. There is only 1 complaint that I have: my friend and I were standing on deck quietly enjoying the ride and at one point when the boat was getting ready to turn (which we had no idea), one of the crew, a slender and short but robust young brunette woman, shouted to us very sharply and rudely, "NOT a good place to stand!!". The way she spoke to us was demeaning and also she just assumed that we knew about sailing when we were passengers who have zero knowledge about how sailing works. Her job was to keep us safe and treat us respectfully. "Excuse me, could you move to that section over there, we're going to be turning the boat." Maybe she was having personal issues but whatever the case, there is no excuse especially considering we were paying for this service. I still give this 4 stars because I believe she is an exception and the other crew did great. Thank you."
"We had a great evening sail, though not much wind, which is okay by my Mom. Beautiful views of the islands and the mountains. A very knowledgeable crew that even included us in the activities like hoisting and trimming the gigantic sails (I have a trailer-sailer for comparison :-) Find a short bay cruise, or a multi-day trip into the San Juans, that fits your style and you will not be disappointed. A friendly, knowledgeable and pleasant crew operating and maintaining a beautiful, functional, and well cared for piece of history. Thanx! We’ll be back!"
"2 nights 3 days with an exceptional crew that taught basic sailing to a mostly novice helpers. Plus excellent meals. I am excited for next year."
"Went on one of the Sunday afternoon sails with the zodiac crew. It was a really unique and fun experience. I picked this experience to celebrate my partners 25th birthday. It was a very fun outing and the crew was incredibly kind, informative and pleasant. Abbey they cat that lives on board was so adorable and a huge highlight of the adventure. My partner got to steer the sail boat which was incredibly cool. The crew allows the passengers to help out with bringing the sails up and down and help as much as they want while on board. I would definitely suggest bringing a something simple and fun to do on the boat (they did have uno and some other books in the bottom part of the boat) some drawing stuff or just kinda something to do, we felt that for us personally 3 hours was a little too long. For younger kids or someone that just wants to be on the water or maybe a bigger party it's fine but we found our selves wanting to be more engaged or have different scenery. It'd be ideal to bring a little picnic/snacks and eat and listen to some music or a podcast. Overall a really phenomenal experience just a little bit long for us to be stuck on a boat. I would definitely do it again and just come a little more prepared. The crew has a box for tips for the volunteer crew at the end of and I was really bummed I don't have any cash on me because the crew and the captain were great!"
