"I scheduled an appt at least three weeks in advance with Dr Zhang. By way of introduction, she told me that the "hematology dept at Providence will be shut down this month," thereby no longer offering iron infusions UNLESS you were a cancer patient (she said the system is overwhelmed with them). Since I am not, I didn't see the point of the appt. I told her I wish someone would have informed me at the time I scheduled, and not have wasted her time, or mine. I walked out, but still got charged for the supposed visit. I don't understand how doctors can charge you as a patient simply for scheduling, or visiting their office, WITHOUT providing any service whatsoever, except to manage to insult you in broken English (why your primary doctor no take care of you?!) I explained to her that he does, but Virginia Mason does infusion only in dowtown (I live in Mukilteo, so I needed something in the north end). Iron IVs patients, beware. Please look for care somewhere else. I hope she treats her cancer patients better. They deserve it."
