"Great place to stop and enjoy nature. Now, in February, it is the best observation of the mating of Grey Herons."
"Been here a few times, each time was different. March had at least 30 of them in a couple of trees and flying around made for some awesome pictures. Area not really setup, would be nice if there were a viewing platform maybe, there are a few advantage points around the parking lot and not hard to find. Sometimes the area is dirty and and shady/questionable people like to hang out here so be careful and go with a friend or use common sense."
"The vegetated pathway to the water is along the east side of the park and ride. Here's my take- bring a buddy because the path doesn't look the most welcoming. I will have to go elsewhere for my heron fix because there was no activity in the nests above. There are over 15 nests though."
"These birds are grande. They're just huge, they sound so prehistoric, big reptiles with feathers be called birds. I was there a couple of days ago these birds are awesome. Go see them it's really cool."
