"If you want a well drink I'm sure they would make it but you would be doing yourself a disservice. We arrived with our friends for a quick drink before heading out for dinner down town and found ourselves sitting and chatting over classic prohibition era drinks for several hours. The classic speak easy vibe was a welcome split from the typical Bellingham bar scene. After ordering our first round from their drink menu we asked the bartender (Ryder) to make something of his liking based off our tastes. He gladly obliged and mixed several cocktails per our request. It was a really cool start to the night. This is a great place to slow down, enjoy the care that goes into each drink and chat. If you are looking for a classy place to start or end your night while in downtown Bellingham Amendment 21 is a must."

"Dropped in to Amendment 21, the bar at Hotel Leo after dinner out. it was VERY quiet. Too quiet to feel very good and the space itself didn't feel great. The furniture arrangement? The lighting? Something just felt off. It feels like a hotel bar. The drinks were fine, but not terribly special, and were expensive (we had a Manhattan and a local gin and tonic). There are other places in town that will give you a really inventive cocktail at the same price. I see some of the other reviews talk up the food, so maybe I would have had a better experience had we gone that route."
