"We had or wedding ceremony and held our reception here on November 18, 2023. Justin, Ashley and staff made our day wonderful. The venue was absolutely beautiful. Ashey and her team did most of the decorating and we loved it. We were able to go their night before the wedding and setup the stuff that we needed to (this is based on availability), which made the day of the wedding a lot less crazy. They have a bridal suite, the menu has so much of a variety to choose from and the food was delicious, and they even have different add-ons that you can choose from. Ashley made sure to keep us on our timeline, so we did not miss anything and maximize the fun we had. If you are looking for a special event venue this is the place to choose. Justin, Ashley and Staff we cannot thank you enough for making our wedding day so beautiful and stress free."

"The Anthracite Center is AMAZING! Such a unique and fun venue - my best friend just got married here over the weekend and everything was perfect. The staff was amazing & so helpful, Ashley the venue coordinator & owner is unmatched she is amazing at what she does, the food was unreal (highly recommend the coconut shrimp appetizer), and all of these things helped make the perfect day! There's a bar inside the bank vault! There's also a bridal suite that is above the ceremony/reception space that the couple gets to look out and see the entire venue. It was such a magical night!! If you or someone you know is getting married soon, I highly recommend this venue!"

"My two best friends celebrated their wedding here this past weekend and I couldn’t believe how amazing this venue was! It was beautiful, spacious, and unique. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The food was so delicious. If you are planning an event, I would highly suggest having it here at the Anthracite Center. 10/10!"

"We hosted a bridal shower at the Anthracite Center in May 2023. This venue is picturesque with the classic old bank vibes. The vault door was very pretty and provided a great opportunity for a backdrop for photos; it was very easy too add a flower garland. The open ceilings were very nice and the large windows on the side added great natural lighting. There was also up lighting on the walls to match the color scheme which added a nice touch. There was a lot of space to bring additional activities or set up more tables if needed; we created a fresh flower bar and had lots of space to set up. Tables were spaced well and guests didn't feel cramped at all. The food was amazing, especially the meatballs! There are two doors to enter the building, and a good amount of parking in the back. Ashley and the staff are very friendly and helpful throughout the planning process and day of the event. Very reasonable price for what you are getting. I would highly recommend the Anthracite Center!"

"We got married and held our reception here in November. Ashley was wonderful to work with and was able to quickly get back to us with any questions we had. Her and her husband were very accommodating to our food allergies and even customized their menu to make it completely dairy free (as well as some gluten free options)! They offer take-home family style samples of their menu to taste test in the comfort of your own home. Ashley allowed us to come the day before to set everything up (this is based on their schedule availability), which made our wedding day even smoother. She went out of her way to assist us and check-in throughout the whole weekend. There is a bridal suite available for use on the second floor that includes a table, chairs, window to the main area, private bathroom, mirror/makeup area, clothing rack, and hangers. It was the perfect place for everyone to get their hair and makeup done, as well as a place for our bridal party to leave their things during the wedding so they could change later. Ashley was there to assist us during the ceremony to help everything run smoothly which we held on the bottom floor with ~90 people. After the ceremony we walked to a park ~3 blocks away for a few photos while our guests moved upstairs (stairway or elevator available) for cocktail hour. When we returned from photos, Ashley was instantly there with a plate of appetizers for the two of us to eat a little before heading upstairs to join our guests for part of cocktail hour. We later moved back downstairs for the first dances, dinner, toasts, etc. Dinner was served quickly by some lovely staff and was delicious. The package included an open bar (premium option available with a small upgrade) for both cocktail hour and the reception. We were also each able to have a custom cocktail served to our guests. The package also included the appetizers, crudité, charcuterie station, first course (salad or soup), bread/butter, 3 dinner options with 2 sides, and a champagne toast. There was also soda, coffee, and tea available. The building is large enough to accommodate everyone dancing, but also small enough to keep the evening intimate. We cannot thank Ashley and her staff enough for such a wonderful day/evening and for making our dreams come true at such reasonable prices. There were no hidden fees thrown at us and there are many additional add-on options available as well! If you are looking for a venue that can offer ceremony/reception services indoors in Lackawanna, this is the place you want to go! Also bonus points for being LGBTQIA+ friendly!"
