"We took a group of 20 for lunch on Monday. We called ahead of time, and they had our tables ready and waiting for us. The waitress was very good. The food was delicious, good and hot. Those buns they serve before lunch the Best."

"My first experience in a very country steak house(restaurant) food. At first, the floor was a complete mess with nut shells everywhere (I believe that’s part of the cultural uniqueness, and I adapted to it in a moment.) The food was decent, and I asked about the bread; they said they made it in-house. So, I bought two boxes of a dozen pieces for the family."

"The food and service was excellent. Crawfish chowder is one of the best I've had in USA so far, and we've had chowder all around. Perfect texture and taste. Every element was well-balanced. They should submit their entry to a chowder competition! For mains we had the steak & shrimp combo with 2 sides (baked beans and Mac & Cheese). Steak was perfectly medium rare. The quality of the meat itself wasn't high, but the ability of the chef to make it taste great is impressive, especially the level of seasoning used. I had many steaks but never one that had such finely-tuned amount of seasoning that makes everything so harmonized. Usually in other restaurants the sides are an afterthought, but not here. The Mac & Cheese side was also shockingly good. Texture, taste, the bechamel style - absolute perfection. The BBQ baked beans side had a smokiness that is delightful. The grilled shrimp were overcooked, but otherwise palatable. Unfortunately after 4-6 hours of dining here our party were struck with mild food poisoning. As this was the only meal we shared together and the timing points to the restaurant. Perhaps if there were any other incidents with other guests yesterday (Oct 29) I don't know if they're to blame for sure? We couldn't pinpoint any dish that might have caused it - nothing smelled, tasted nor looked off though these can be misleading. Manager might want to look into Oct 29 incidents. That said, am giving the restaurant benefit of the doubt and rate 4 stars."

"I have been in the USA for nearly a month. And with only a couple of days left in my trip, I needed to have ribs to eat, that is. So thanks to the girls on reception at my hotel I caught a taxi to Jimmy Macs Roadhouse. Peanut shells on the floor and bad country music playing. Great service. There are not many patrons at around 5 pm. So I ordered a full rack of ribs that comes with baked beans and sweet potato fries. Yum!!! Also, with a Modelo and followed by apple pie and ice cream. I was full. Price seems steep, but hey, this is America."

"Took the family here for the first time after some friends had recommended and I was NOT disappointed. Big portions, fresh cuts of meat, and the customer service was phenomenal. Only restaurant that offers free peanuts and throw the shells on the floor. Fresh biscuits and honey butter were good. I got the half rack ribs and the Mac & cheese and boy was it good. Free cola refills too. Def will be returning!"
