Reviews
"I love visiting the Bartell's in Burien. The pharmacy is 100 times better than places like Fred Meyer. I see a lot of reviews for the pharmacy not taking their calls but I've never experienced that issue. Maybe they saw the older feedback and adjusted their practices but I get an answer each time I've called. And the staff is always friendly."
"Best Pharmacy is the worst place ever to try and get a hold of. They never want to answer their phone and claim they are overwhelmed with customers yet when I go in there, there’s only two or three people in line I tried to call before I go pick up my meds to make sure there’s something ready for me to pick up but they never want to answer the phones and then the people at the counter seem rude specially Asian male I wish they would get someone straight that place before I had to switch pharmacies"
"I've been trying to contact the pharmacy for 2 days. No one EVER answers the phone, and to make things worse, their phone/mailbox is full, so you can't even leave a message. I feel really sad for customers who rely on life and death prescriptions that they need filled. Good luck with that!"
"Cindy working the night shift (around 8pm 10/3) at the burien transit center location was so rude, mean and belittling to me tonight for asking to break change. I went in to buy a candy bar to get change for the bus. I told Cindy ahead of time that this was my plan and she laughed and said ok. I then asked if making a purchase was even necessary to get the change. From here Cindy’s treatment of me was extremely cold and short. Cindy rolled her eyes and huffed at me that they weren’t supposed to do that but she would anyways. I thanked her and told her if I needed to go through with the purchase though it was no problem at all. Just wanted to ask if it was possible. Cindy huffed again and ignored me. She was becoming more flustered because she was having a hard time figuring out how to work her POS. I told her again that it was no worries to just do the original transaction and go because my bus was coming soon anyways. Cindy completely ignored me and continued huffing under her breath about how this was “Really not cool of me to do.” Cindy ended up calling the manager over to do a return and just gave me back the original $5 I had started with. She loudly made a scene about how I had been being difficult and that I was just trying to scam them. I asked if I had done something wrong and Cindy loudly said again that she had “given me my change already” and that she thought “I was in SUCH a rush to go so why was I still there.” I explained that by this time I had already missed the bus and still did not have the change to even pay for it since I was just given my original bill…. I was completely humiliated infront of other customers waiting behind me in line and at this point was almost in tears from the anxiety/embarrassment of the situation. I asked the manager if I could tell her what happened to make a complaint. Cindy proceeded to bombard our conversation and talk over me the whole time even when I asked her to stop and give us space. She was acting like I was a criminal for wanting change for the bus… I get that certain things are not allowed per company policy. I have no problem adhering to those guidelines. It is completely unfair, however, to treat customers/patrons this way when they ask clarifying questions about a place they do not work for. This all could have been avoided with a simple “no we can’t do that”. I wonder had I not been a young, brown person dressed in all black with a hoodie over my head would Cindy have treated me with more respect and kindness vs some “hoodlum” trying to cause ruckus. The only reason this is getting two stars is because the night manager (who’s name I completely forgot to ask for) was very compassionate and accommodating towards me during the whole situation."
"They never have your prescription ready, even if you wait a day to pick it up after the doctor sends it in or you renew it through their automated phone system. I've now started to call first to speak to an employee and verify that it's ready before driving over, but every time I get to the front of the line, it's always the same thing: "oh, it looks like it's not ready. It'll be another 20 minutes." They literally don't start working on it until you get there. Go anywhere else, and especially don't go during busy times when there's a long line. You'll spend a half hour in line plus another half hour waiting for it to be made, making it a 1 hour of your life that you won't get back. As I'm sitting here waiting for my prescription again, I've already heard them tell several other people that it'll be another 20 minutes..."
