"I've always had good experiences with the people working at this office, and the care I've gotten is great. But when it comes to anything outside of actually interacting with office staff, the company feels cold and too much like a big, uncaring corporation. A big problem lately is the parking. There's never any space in the paid garage they have, and finding a spot on the street around here is a nightmare. It doesn't feel right to complain to the staff about this because it's not something they can fix. It's sad that such a big aspect of client service is neglected, and more so that the frontline staff, who are otherwise great, are put in a spot of dealing with customer complaints about things they can't change. It really shows that the company isn't thinking about the small things that make a big difference to us as patients. It's a shame because the people who work there are great, but the company needs to do better at making everything else feel just as good."
"Why are clients not told how to access this location on off hours? I nearly gave up on my appt before noticing the 2x3 in button that said mindful therapy on the intercom tucked into a corner. Then there were pretty much no signs for the office in the empty building."
"My first provider did not show up to our scheduled intake appointment, and I was not provided with an apology or any explanation of why that was. Office staff only told me that "the appointment does not appear to have been cancelled." The provider never contacted me to apologize or follow up with me. I don't know what happened and I found the whole experience to be extremely draining and disempowering. My second provider rescheduled our intake appointment twice, once with only 12 hours of notice. Every time this happened, the online portal treated me as a new patient and required I complete all the paperwork from scratch. After the third time, I gave up on working with MTG. MTG has shown very little respect for my time or how hard it was for me to reach out at all, and it has been a very painful experience to be treated this way when I have reached out for help. Not so with Mindful Therapy Group. They have been very responsive and helpful. Kirby is a phenomenal therapist, and we are so grateful!"
"The two providers I have seen here are fine - not fantastic, but fine. The front desk staff are very nice. However, Mindful Therapy Group’s A/R is incompetent at best and fraudulent at worst. I have an HRA that automatically sends out payments for my copays. I manage said HRA for my employer and I have been watching checks go out to Mindful Therapy Group for my copays, starting about a month ago. I called in on 9/18 because my credit card is also being charged for the copay, so I am effectively double-paying. I completely understand why this has been happening, I just wanted to know how it would be handled. On 9/18 I was told that they had noted the pattern of checks arriving a few weeks later, would no longer charge my card going forward, and would refund my card for the copays because they had received checks for the services. A few days went by and no refund was pending, so I called in again. On 9/22 I was told that yes they had been receiving the checks, but that a refund to me would need to be issued by check, and that could take up to six weeks. I was told that my card would not be charged (again), as they had noted in my file checks will be arriving. Today, 10/6, I see two more copays pending on my credit card. I called in again. Today I was told that I need to send an email to the A/R department requesting that they not charge my card, that this was the only way to stop payments from posting. When I inquired about getting refunded for all the appointments I’ve double paid for, I was given a vague answer, so I pressed and was told something completely different: that Mindful Therapy Group had not received any checks. I have been told three different things about the status of my double-payments. I have been not only told, but reassured! that a note was placed on my account, only to find out that apparently this cannot happen until I do something. I would have been happy to do something three weeks ago had I known. I was then reassured that CHECKS HAD BEEN RECEIVED, only to be told today that they have not been. I now have zero faith that the A/R department can resolve this, and will have to pursue further steps with my HRA to get my money back. I understand that medical coding and billing is complicated, but this is absolutely insane. If you can’t trust a business to handle your money properly, you can’t trust them with your mental health."
