Reviews of Tacoma Armory
"The Monet exhibit was entirely immersive with large screens projected 360 degrees and even on the floor with music in the background. Allow an hour with additional time for the post exhibit activities. The Armory itself seems to be interesting but background information is lacking. This area of Tacoma seems upbeat with museums, the Pantages Theatre...served by a great bus system. Hope to discover more of Tacoma soon!"
"We really enjoyed the Imagine Monet exhibit, only wishing there were more seating options. Unless you sat on the floor, there were only 4 small benches in the center of the room. Everyone else tended to stand on one side to allow those 8 people a full view. Took away from the 360 degree experience. More benches farther from center would help a lot."
"The Utopian Garden was amazing! I do think they should lower the price so that it is affordable to more people. They said that every third Thursday, when museum prices are lower, they get a huge crowd, but otherwise, not too many since opening week. The exhibit will be here all summer, so we're definitely going back!"
"I attended the Infinite Experience at the Tacoma Armory and was simply "blown away" by this event. I was able to experience outer space in a way that was truly amazing by wearing a virtual reality headset which placed me inside the space station where I was then able to walk around just like I was there in person. If you get a chance, don't miss this event before it leaves Tacoma."
"The Van Gogh experience was out of this world! Unfortunately there were no chairs or lounges for sitting, otherwise I would give this 5 stars. The room was definitely ample size for the production. Thank you to Tacoma Arts"
