"asked if we could take some pictures of the house for an art project. the owner told me it would be $50. We tried to do the right thing by parking at the barn and asking politely, but she then implied that we were 'trespassing' even though we didn't set foot anywhere near the house itself and instead asked permission. I didn't realize that not wanting to pay a ridiculous fee made me a trespasser, especially at a place of business open to the general public. I would have been happy to pay a nominal fee to take a couple of pictures for my portfolio but $50 for some photos is outrageous. This isn't the Mona Lisa, it's an old house in the middle of nowhere. With an attitude like that it will be a miracle if these people ever get their house restored or see their business become successful. If you are considering visiting this place to learn more about the history or booking them for a wedding event I would suggest you look elsewhere."
