"What a beautiful home and area. So happy the historical folks are there to lead the renovations...it looks great so far. Tour guide was beyond amazing. She was so knowledgeable of everything...not one question I had was left unanswered. A must visit while in the area. Although admission is free please consider leaving a nice donation...its how they are able to preserve the mansion."

"This historically recognized site is so rich in local and national history. A true hidden treasure for all the history buffs who can appreciate early life in Upstate New York, but I will not tell the whole story here, hopefully you can visit when its reopened, for a tour! Currently, due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, this site is closed until further notice. This small Historical Society/ non-profit has cancelled all of their events, until further notice. To include their annual Mother's Day kick off. These events provide funds for future events, educational discovery days for children, and historical restoration of the property. "Historic building being lovingly restored. They have a Mother's day brunch, Halloween festivities, & other fund raising events to finance the extensive restoration. After breakfast (option of inside or out- they've added a nice covered exterior eating area), went on tour of house, & was able to see progress since last time was inside. Purchased a pie from their bake sale (still warm). They aren't open daily, just special events, but defiantly worth going. Extremely historic, especially for upstate"
