"I can't share the details of exactly what Mitch Bacon said, but I can certainly share what I observed. My partner had one session with Mr. Bacon sometime ago and did not feel he was a good fit for his needs. This is not an unusual thing in the world of therapy, and from my experience a therapist generally handles a situation such as this with professionalism and grace, understanding that a mis-fit is not personal. At my encouragement, and after several months of gentle coaxing towards giving therapy another shot, my partner contacted his provider for a referral to a different therapist. This is where the breakdown begins. His provider, for some reason beyond logic to me, decided to contact Mr. Bacon and relay my partner's reasoning behind seeking another therapist. Mr. Bacon then apparently thought it a good idea to call my partner and confront him about his request for another therapist. At this point my partner felt extremely uncomfortable (as pretty much literally anyone would) as Mr. Bacon quizzed him, pressured him into taking another appointment with him, informed him that he would never be able to discuss the issues that my partner felt were most important to him and instrumental to his progress because his insurance only paid to treat the "diagnosis," etc. This continued on for over 30 minutes. By the time the telephone call that never should have happened in the first place concluded, my partner was dejected and conveyed that he felt bullied into another appointment with someone he didn't ever want to see again. After this awful experience, I can only hope that my partner, who is a kind, empathetic, caring, and gentle person, will somehow be convinced again of the merits of therapy and that there are much better fits for him out there than Mr. Bacon purports himself to be. You might ask why I, and not my partner, wrote this review - simple: he is far too shell-shocked and nice to speak his mind and I am far too angry not to."
"Got immediate response. Wasn't the specialty I needed but appreciated the help."
"Left 3 voicemails and called 5 times with no response. Clearly Mr. Bacon isn’t interested in new clients. What a shame."
