"I started seeing Jennifer after being unsuccessful with half a dozen other providers. She is direct & frank in her approach and combined the “why” behind things with the “how” to do them. Without her I’d still be having panic attacks just thinking about the normal things I need to do to get through the day."
"I wish I had feedback about the actual provider. I’m sure she’s probably pretty good at her job. Her office staff, however, are not. I was scheduled for an appointment with this provider at the beginning of January. I had to cancel the appointment due to an emergency. I called to cancel and to get it reschedule, left a voicemail. No one ever called me back. I called again a week or two later to see if I could get it rescheduled, left a vm, still no reply. Well I finally called again, frustrated, and left a pretty irritated voicemail because honestly what business can’t return a phone call. I understand not taking new patients. All you have to do is call someone back so that they can move on with their life. I got a call back THE NEXT BUSINESS DAY after that voicemail. I answered the phone to have the receptionist call me “Ann.” From someone whom has left three voicemails, how you confuse two syllables for one is beyond me. Whatever. So then she proceeds to apologize that I had to call 4 times in order to reach someone, but that they have ALL been out sick. I work in the medical field. If my office didn’t change the vm to let our patients know that we are all out with a terrible illness, that wouldn’t really work out well for us. I’d probably have been fired actually. Also, if EVERYONE is out sick AND NOT RETURNING VOICEMAILS that would mean that you would have to leave probably hundreds patients with and without mental illnesses, defenseless and confused. I’m pretty sure that would be negligence or malpractice, legally. Also, being sick, returning a voicemail would literally be THE EASIEST thing you could do to maintain your business, AND you can do it remotely! Weird. I think she either needs new office staff or she should probably hire more people to answer those pesky voicemails. Just a few thoughts."
"please realize that most people who claim this is a bad place are people who come from domestic violence or drug use. Denial is a strong force. I would think writing a critique during a a time of denial would yield incredibly biased results."
"I would be very suspect of the list of reviews that came in one after another. This therapist does see people for addiction and domestic violence which are disorders that involve volatile emotions and an inability to see things for what they are. I, and several friends, have benefited from her help. I have seen her for over 4 years and can attest to the fact that she is well versed in domestic violence, anxiety disorders and addiction issues. She has a strong reputation in the community and in the local courts. She has a very forward approach and tells it like she sees it. I have seen this not go over well but I appreciate frank and direct advice, especially when I'm paying for it."
"Unethical and incompetent. Openly admitted to me once that while she was treating people with addiction issues she herself would drink before appointments. In my experience with her, she strung me along over the course of 7 months knowing that she was not qualified to treat my condition. She diagnosed my OCD as bipolar and adhd and prescribed me various drugs which made my problems worse over the course of a year. I still suffer physical ailments from the damage from these medications. I will not disclose why she did this but it was for unethical reasons that benefited her without concern for the patient. A private investigator once called me asking for information as she has gotten other complaints. Avoid this therapist and find someone else."
