"My daughter has chosen this beautiful venue for her wedding next year! So excited! Such a beautiful property with so much history!"
"What an absolute delight it was to photograph Lauren and Nick's wedding at the Gassaway Mansion in Greenville, SC. As a wedding photographer who thrives on capturing raw emotions and genuine moments, this historic venue was nothing short of a dream come true! From the moment I arrived, I was enchanted by the mansion's grandeur. The architecture is a stunning blend of vintage charm and modern sophistication, providing a plethora of unique and captivating backdrops for photos. Whether it's the intricate woodwork, the towering ceilings, or the antique furnishings, each room tells its own story, adding an extra layer of depth and character to every image. The way natural light seeps into the building is nothing short of magical. It dances off the walls and filters through the windows, creating a soft, ethereal glow that adds a touch of romance to every frame. It's these subtle nuances that make the Gassaway Mansion such a joy to photograph. But it's not just the mansion itself that's impressive. The surroundings are equally breathtaking. The lush gardens, with their vibrant blooms and manicured lawns, offer a multitude of opportunities for creating dreamy, outdoor portraits. And let's not forget the iconic staircases β they add an element of drama and elegance, making for some unforgettable shots! Working with the staff was also a pleasure. Their professionalism, attention to detail, and willingness to accommodate made for a seamless experience. They ensured I had everything I needed to do my job effectively, which allowed me to focus entirely on capturing Lauren and Nick's special day. One of the highlights of the day was when the sun began to set, casting a golden hue over the mansion. I managed to capture Lauren and Nick in this warm, glowing light, resulting in some truly breathtaking images that perfectly encapsulated their love and happiness. The backdrop of the mansion, with its intricate detailing and historical charm, only amplified the emotion in these photos. In summary, the Gassaway Mansion is more than just a wedding venue β it's a photographer's paradise. Its unique blend of historical charm and natural beauty provides endless opportunities for capturing authentic, emotive images. I wholeheartedly give it five stars and can't wait to return for more weddings in the future!"
"I stopped by to get a peek at Gassaway Mansion in the springtime and the property was stunning! Although I've never seen the interior, I was surprised at this beautiful landmark tucked away a few miles from where I grew up. I'd heard of "Isaqueena" but, can't recall ever going to see it. I am currently riding around to get a few photos of all the places on The National Register of Historic Places list in Greenville County and this is one of the most impressive I've seen so far. There seemed to be a wedding going on when I pulled up but, a kind young man directing the parking lot allowed me to snap a few photos. I can vaguely remember as a kid hearing the urban legend of Walter Gassaway haunting his former home. If so, he most certainly did not curse the view....and hopefully none of the newlyweds either! It's also rumored to be partially built with bricks from Vardy McBee's 1828 grist mill."
"Colleen, Linda, and their team went above and beyond what I ever could imagine! The wedding was absolutely perfect! The food was delicious, the flowers were beautiful, the decorations were amazing, and every little detail was taken care of! I could not have dreamed of anything more perfect. We received so many compliments on how beautiful everything was! Truly a dream!"
