"I came here with no expectations of how a treatment center should or would be. From the first minute I stepped off the bus every person treated me like a person who is worthy of respect . The staff went out of their way to ensure all of my physical needs were met. Medical personnel are responsive, professional and polite. Behavioral health technicians ensure that all of your needs are met and that you understand the facility . The counselors are caring and are also in recovery so they speak from first hand experiences.. You have the option of attending classes which are most applicable to your recovery. The cafeteria manager is from the south so the food has flavor."
"This amazing place is truly a place of healing and recovery! I've never experienced such a wholesome and complete group of people so dedicated to helping others begin their journey to recovery. Every individual person here is completely and honestly approachable at any time of the day or night, and if that person is busy at that moment, they immediately turn their full attention to you once their free to. The recovery program that they follow is individually curtailed to the needs of every client, with exceptional and respected results. The management here puts the needs and safety of all staff and clients as a top priority, ensuring that everyone has an opportunity to progress in a meaningful and successful environment. The Case Management and Counseling department are compassionate and understanding people with the assessment of individual needs of every client a top priority and have an open-door policy that rival's even the best. The drug treatment specialist on site is very professional and knowledgeable, and eager to facilitate the needs of every client, with a personable approach. The culinary department which operates like that of a well-oiled and maintained machine. They produce a wide variety of healthy and flavorful dishes to meet the demands of even the most hungry of clients, most of which are handmade from scratch. Every client that has dietary restrictions or needs are individually met with great care and pride, and taken seriously. Different weekly meal rotations keep the clients pleased and eager to see what the next weeks menu will provide, which is posted for all to view. One thing that makes this center stand out among others is having the ability for clients to connect to their family and loved ones as well as community connections on a twenty-four hour basis, weather that be the phone or computer. Also, clients receive their personal electronic devices daily upon completing required group and individual sessions. If you or anyone you know is ever needing or wondering if there is a recovery center that will produce amazing results to help attain a better life after addiction, search no further. This is the place. As a client here personally, I've never been so enlightened and hopeful for my future, thanks to the staff here at Virtue. Thank you."
"I arrived at virtue expecting to get some clean time and be on my way. But that wasn't the case, instead I received a warm welcome and tools that will be useful for when I return home an continue my recovery. The staff was always professional and a genuine concern for us Veterans. I have been to multiple 45 day programs and Virtue was by far the most caring and well staffed facility. I plan on staying in touch and recommending Virtue to my veteran community when they need a safe environment to from addiction of any kind. I want to add that there many outings to get you out of the everyday recovery routine. Oh least I forget, (I know this is important a lot of Veterans) there is a master chef on board that puts out some amazing food! Thank you virtue!"
"I was supposed to go to White City VA, (I am a combat veteran) but when I got there, I was told I needed to detox and I was sent here. At first, I was absolutely terrified as the VA took me to the hospital in Medford, but from the moment I was picked up by their driver, to the day of my discharge, I was treated in a way I have rarely been treated at any other facility, and that is with the dignity and respect that I’ve always wanted to have as a human, they cared about my diet they cared about my needs. They were there for me when I was scared they help me when I was at my lowest. And gave me another chance at life something you can’t put a price on, but I’ll always be thankful for. The food was also really good and the person in charge of the kitchen is awesome ( am I allowed to say Annie?) . Thank you for taking such good care of me and that goes for everybody that was here. I don’t have a negative thing to say about anything except the reason why I had to come here, but it was a very positive experience and you get to be in Astoria beautiful story where they film the goonies detoxing sucks, but it didn’t suck so bad being here thank you.(The person I worked with not only had the name of a superhero, she is a super hero. Thanks Marvel) thank you to everyone else but I have a TBI and can’t remember anyone else’s name."
