Reviews of McMenamins Grand Lodge Theater
"I'm not sure what it is about the Grand Lodge but it just has issues the smaller McMenamins do not have! Every time we eat at GL it's a disappointment and waste of money. I do not enjoy giving this review but the management needs to know the quality of food that comes out of that kitchen is awful. Overcooked, no seasoning and dry Salmon was replaced with a raw salmon. The salad had 3 craisins, 2 nuts and less then a teaspoon of cheese. The mashed potatoes were wet and the steak underseasoned. The cheesecake was dry and too small for the price. It's been such a long time since we ate there we thought we'd give it another chance. And now we remember why we don't dine here. Also why do they constantly take the most popular items off their menu?? Like the Horseheads chicken, pretzels and sweet potatoe fries. We will still go there for the movies, concerts, etc. However $130 for 2 people to eat a meal that was extremely disappointing will not happen again. The server was the only saving grace."
"I have mixed feelings regarding the difference between the theatre and the restaurant. The staff regardless are fantastic and very pleasant. The food in the restaurants is well worth it but at the theatre after several trips we’ll arrive cold, soggy, under seasoned and at least one item will be incorrect. Don’t get me wrong, as I said before, the sit down restaurant is awesome. The theatre itself is also super. The snack stand/bar never fails. It’s the food delivered TO the theatre. The theatre food deserves two stars but the rest deserve five."
"What an amazing place! The atmosphere is so eclectic and awesome, the theater is fun, the staff are amazing and kind. It's just a great experience all around."
"A beautiful location with great food. Better than some of their other locations. We really appreciate that they are open until 10 and take dinner customers at 9. Justin was our server and he was charismatic, shard working, and informative. He was "kid friendly" as well. Making conversation with our little ones and keeping up some good banter. We love that. We enjoy paying for this type of service and continue to support our local spot."
"Had a great stay and the staff are very friendly. Definitely going back to have some drinks and complete my passport book. I love that they make it fun for adults!"
