"Been here a few years now and have had a very pleasant experience. The building is very secure so i feel like it is a very safe place to live! There is a package locker inside of the lobby, I have never had any issues and is super convenient! Maintenance and Management are quick to respond and have always been respectful and professional. i have never had any issues with long wait times or being left in the dark about any issues I have had. Overall it is a very nice place to live. It is walking distance from a lot of restaurants, Coffee, And Pharmacy. Alki is super close too! which feels like a bonus. Highly Recommended!"

"This is the absolute worst place to live. If you are thinking of moving here, DONT. There's plenty of other rentals up and down California Ave to choose from. The apartments are cheaply made with appliances constantly breaking down and random things falling apart. The walls are thin and you can hear your neighbors talking and anyone walking in the hallway. The hallways smell extremely rancid. Parking is terrible. There are no amenities. I've had multiple packages stolen from the package area proving that the neighbors are untrustworthy. The office staff are extremely rude, unprofessional and barely in the office. Maintenance doesn't do a good job at fixing things so they just break again in a few weeks. They don't give you your deposit back at all, even if you leave the apartment in a clean condition, they will lie and say you didn't. Seriously, save your money."

"They completely took advantage of us while we were moving out. They didn't return our deposit despite the apartment being left in pristine condition. They will charge for things you paid for and we had to go back through months of bank statements to prove we've paid. It didn't matter anyways because they held the deposit. The owners of Strata are being sued in a class action lawsuit because they held so many people's deposits between 2020-2022. They also made false accusations on how we left the apartment - WHICH WAS CLEANER THAN HOW THEY LEFT IT FOR US WHEN WE MOVED IN. Their management is terrible. Rachel was especially hard to work with through this whole process. They call it luxury living but there is nothing luxury about it. Our mailbox door had to be fixed 3 times in a matter of a couple months, handles to drawers falling off, trimming on walls coming off, and bathroom drawers off track. Very low quality materials used in the making of the apartments. People let their dogs pee in the hallway so the hallways always stink. The walls are paper thin and you can hear people talking through the walls. Packages get stolen from the mailroom all the time because it's just an open area where delivery guys just leave them. Plus, you're living next to a very sketchy apartments building where very questionable people are hanging around. Definitely not a safe place for kids to be."

"This review is long overdue but better late than never. What makes living at Strata on California special is a combination of the tight-knit community vibe, extremely attentive property management staff, and ultra convenient location. Super accessible to the C-line for those commuting into downtown and a 20 minute walk to the junction. You're close enough to everything but not in the thick of junction congestion. Very pet friendly community as well. Management is very communicative of the happenings in the building. I've been lucky enough to call this place home for over 2.5 years and I appreciate the staff who make it so hard to imagine living anywhere else! Thank you Rachael and Jordan!"

"We’re still in our first year of living here but, we absolutely love it. The manager is very kind and always helpful and quick to answer any questions. Maintenance has also been awesome! We had a few issues with random things when we first moved in and they were always quick to fix and very communicative. It’s an older building so not everything is perfect but nothing to complain about. The area is great and I’ve always felt safe walking around. I really enjoy everything being close and in one area. Overall I’d say this complex has a very homey feel and everyone I’ve ran into that lives here has been kind. It’s not overly noisy but California street can get a little loud, otherwise neighbors seem to be pretty quiet and surprisingly with the dogs, I never hear barking."
