"My 15 month lease is ending and I wanted to give an honest review. Lived in ground level townhome. Amenities are nice and usually not too busy. Gym is decent for an apartment building. Really nice view at the open area at the top. Parking $250 a month. Electric $80-120 every 2 months. Utilities added on to rent S/W/G roughly $100. Per month. They have century link fiber for $65. Probably one of the more “affordable” places that have central A/C. Shout out to Esther and the maintenance staff! Lots of turnover in the leasing office. I’ve seen some other reviews with similar observations and they are accurate. Unfortunately there is a ton of construction. Lots of noise and a lot more construction being planned in the lot adjacent to the west. They’re going to be puttting in a hotel (with no extra parking) and a research lab. If you are on the alley side plan on being woken up sometimes at 4am due to garbage and recycling truck. This area is commercial not residential so the noise rules do not apply in regards to time of day of garbage pickup. Ultimately leaving because of noise and rent increasing roughly 20% for a 1 year lease renewal. I’ve lived in loud cities but the windows are cheap and so I can hear full conversations outside my window. Overall I think it’s an average place with nice amenities and great maintenance staff, that (If you can get it for the right price) is worth it."
"Lived here for more than 2 years and had no issues whatsoever. We loved living at the Century. Alyssa and Esther were super helpful during the time of our stay. The maintenance staff was always on time and addressed the problems right away. We decided to relocate to another part of the city and move out was smooth too."
"We have lived in 10 different apartments in different states before this one. We lived here for the longest. This apartment has a great location, a great floor plan (we live on first floor), great rates, and an even better management team. What’s really special about this place is that the team here cares about residents. They have regular social events and giveaways, give prompt notifications on their every decisions and changes. They once reverted the utility billing company because we don’t like the new one. Overall, I couldn’t have asked for a better apartment. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to live in downtown Seattle area."
"We lived here for more than 3 years, and the community and staff has been amazing. They always say hi to you when you enter the building, and give treats or pat our dog. Highly recommend anyone who want to live in the SLU area to choose here. They really make you feel home with all the community events, friendly staff and quick respond to any of your maintenance requests. Sadly, we have to move soon since we recently purchased a home. They even gave us a bottle of champagne and a hand written card as gifts to celebrate the purchase."
"I've resided here for several years, and I've witnessed numerous changes within the leasing office. Throughout my time at The Century, Esther Mullinge has consistently stood out as the shining star. Her dedication to residents and unwavering passion for her work are truly exceptional, and she deserves recognition in the form of a well-deserved raise and/or promotion. Unfortunately, it appears that the level of helpfulness and responsiveness from others, especially the newcomers, has been on the decline. This might be one of the reasons why previous property managers have chosen to depart. It's disheartening to see this decline, and it has ultimately led me to the decision that I will be moving out in the near future."
