"Steve went out of his way to ensure that I got my prescriptions before leaving on a trip. Phenomenal customer service!"
"When an 85 ye old man needs an antibiotics and you don't have it in stock, any other pharmacist would call the Dr and ask if they can substitute another kind they do have. An infection in an elderly person is worse and should be taken better care of in the eyes ofa pharmacist. Adding the to above post. I help my elderly neighbors and a week ago the wife phoned in for her diabetes meds. Went to pick up today and was told it's back ordered, maybe tomorrow. So she is out of medicine and has lost her kidney function aeady from diabetes and you guys say maybe tomorrow. I'm going to try my hardest to get them to quit using your place. You need a lawsuit at best. Total B.S."
"I am usually not the kind of person to leave bad reviews but this is the second time I have arrived at skidmore pharmacy before 9am and the person to open the pharmacy arrives 15mins late. Even two pharmacy employees are here waiting and one of them said, “he’s always 10-15 mins late.” If this is the case, change the hours on the door from 9am - 5:30 to 9:15a - 5:30 or have the hospital hold the person in charge accountable. It’s really unexceptable and looks bad for business."
"I have been a customer of Skidmore Pharmacy for approximately 7 months and I would like to say that I have never experienced a pharmacy that takes up to 7+ days to get my medications and especially my BP med that is an essential medication that you should not miss taking. I also have had the experience , several times of calling to inquire about my refills and I would call and call and call several times throughout the day and someone would finally answer in the afternoon. I once went in because no one answered the previous day and I told Steve (owner) what I went through and he gave me the answer of, " Oh, I am sorry you went through that and we are trying to work on calls going to another line so people can leave a message." Well, I still have gone through the same problem. I thought that Steve was a nice guy and I do like David and the rest of the staff but today really upset me when I called to see if my BP medicine was going to be there as Steve had mentioned and Angela(Pharmacy Tech) put me on hold and when she came back she told me that the system is showing that it would not be in for another 3 days. I told her that I only had one for today and my BP med is essential and I said, " What am I suppose to do" ? She put me on hold for about 7 minutes and she said, " Steve said that it may be in 2 days but if I didn't want to wait that I should transfer to some other pharmacy". I did call Rite Aid and I had my medication within 4 hours. How unprofessional of a pharmacist and owner Steve is. Folks if you want your medications on time then don't go to Skidmore. It is sad because the young staff that work there are really nice people."
"This local family run pharmacy is run on values of people that care about you the human, above the insurance companies! If you are paying a cash price, you will find their prices are often 1/5 of all the box stores, who gouge you! They are even cheaper than using BLINK for a Ned that my Mom needs but insurance wouldn’t cover unless she tried other drugs first that her doctor said she should not because they weren’t safe for her health at her age. I have also seen the staff go the extra mile to get my family the drugs our doctor prescribes when there are difficulties getting insurance to cover it, being it changing the quantity or whatever it takes to help it get approved. The staff here genuinely cares about you: I’ve even gotten to hear their personal experience with certain drugs as a reference, or had other questions answered thoroughly and compassionately. I know they are closed on the weekend and not open late, but that shows me that they care about there staff and are also trying to run an effective business without gouging us customers in prices. I have used this pharmacy for years and loved their compassionate staff and that the money stays local instead of going to some corporate millionaire. I’ve known some of the same staff in the community and admired their good family values watching them raise their kids. I recently learned that the owner is a friend of a friend, and reputed to be a fantastic standup community oriented man. I have also heard good reports from staff about his ethics. Clearly his beliefs trickle down through his business. This pharmacy is something I am grateful for. Thank you to everyone that makes it this way! It is how a pharmacy should be, and is all too rare in America nowadays!"
