Reviews of Sawyer Trail Apartments
"Respectfully, I have no interest speaking with any staff members in the leasing office but look forward to speaking to someone from the Tarragon Property Management office soon."
"The complex is beautiful, lots of amenities to utilize, lots of parking, the units are very spacious, the maintenance men are great, especially KURT! & the cost is pretty fair considering how newly built it is + the amenities. I'd give the complex alone a 4* (would be a 5* if the colors of all the doors and cabinets in the unit matched & they didn’t charge $75 for reserved parking) HOWEVER, Management is very unprofessional. They are not welcoming at all.. No smile, no good energy in that office environment. As mentioned by several previous tenants, management seems to not care or show any concerns regarding their tenants. I am very much aware that there is very little that they can do when it comes to issues occurring within the complex (cars being broken into, feeling unsafe with little security, etc) but even just allowing the tenants to be heard and showing genuineness care goes a long way. Jordy specifically is the one I typically remember and have had an unpleasant encounter with. She never has a smile on her face every time I walked into the office. Temesha, I've had a couple of interactions with and she is very nice & gentle. Management alone, I give a 2*."
"Overall, I find the property to be beautiful, and I absolutely love my townhome. However, I do wish that leasing had provided a more thorough tour of the property during the initial walkthrough. I had to find my own mailbox and figure out my compost bins which is minor. Despite that, my experience has been amazing so far, and I'm enjoying living here."
"The apartments are pretty nice. I like the layouts a lot, and the walls don't feel paper thin to me, but I'm also not a particularly loud person. My biggest problem right now is management is kind of... Mean? My family sent me a 4 ft x 4 ft crate of my things to move into the apartment; I do not control my family's shipping decisions and was not consulted in the matter. Me and those I'm living with took off time from work so we could get it unpacked as fast as possible, and we did in a few hours and completely disposed of the crate. However, rather than ask questions about when it'll be opened or what it was I was met with "you can't have that here" and "can't you get it sent somewhere else?". The staff I was on the phone with was extra rude about it. Please have your team go through some type of training to better assess situations and not jump to conclusions. The whole experience was very negative for me."
"For those moving or looking to move in the future, DO NOT RENT AT SAWYER TRAIL APARTMENTS/TOWNHOMES!!!! I’ve lived here for two years, one in the apartments and one in the townhomes. I have had one of the worst rental experiences as a new renter and I especially advise new renters to not live here. Here’s a few of the things that I have experienced that have lead me to make this post: 1. The rent is exorbitantly high. My 3 bedroom apartment was $2300 and my 2 bedroom townhome is $2400. They have raised the rent nearly $200 for the next year at my townhome (which is part of why I’m moving). The apartments are way too small for the price they are asking for. We also found details in the building that most people wouldn’t want to see when moving into their new home (carpet pulling up from the corners, warping in the vinyl floors, mold in the AC, toilets and bathtubs not sealed to the floors, cracks in the drywall, etc.). 2. They take forever on work orders. You will be waiting upwards of a month for anything to be fixed in your units. We put in work orders 3 weeks ago to fix some damages in our unit before we move out so we could get our security deposit back. They have decided that they are going to wait until after we move out so they can keep our security deposit. Even if they were to come and fix anything before we moved out, they would still charge us for the wear and tear. 3. Your car will be broken into. one night I came out to see someone had slept in it and stole my brand new $200 longboard. My boyfriend’s catalytic converter was also stolen and people had been sleeping in his car and stripped it. And there are little to no cameras in the neighborhood. 4. Your car will be towed without warning. There is little to no parking in the townhome part of the complex. If you park in front of your own driveway, they may tow it and then lie about them having it towed in the first place. They claim they do not have to give notice before towing your car. 5. You will get charged if you use any amenities. But most of them don’t work or are closed for most of the year. Terrible neighborhoods, terrible management. Too expensive to do anything. Both me and my boyfriend make upwards of 43k annually and we can barely afford the unusually high rent along with all the other bills. Management just wants to make a quick buck off the tenants but unlike most properties, they don’t even try to hide it. They think they’re invincible. It’s hard out there as a renter so make you and your family’s life as easy as possible and don’t move here. You will lose your car, your money, your possessions and your emotional wellbeing."
