"Place is a scam. Their website and videos of apartments are fake. Everything in the apartment is nothing like the videos. Moldy, dirty, and broken cabinets that they say they can’t fix or change out. They charge a 250$ cleaning fee for an apartment that’s already a disaster. Do not waste your time."
"Do not move here. Can never get ahold of the office via phone. Constant inappropriate charges on monthly rent forcing you to go to the office to point out the mistakes. New complex manager about once a year, new leasing agents as often as the seasons change, clearly the company is terrible to work for. Maintenance issues take months to get addressed. Dumpsters over flowing every single day with piles of trash all over. Not to mention trash is 70 bucks a month by itself. Stay away. And read the reviews, all comments in return from the complex are arguing."
"I have lived here for just over a year and have had minimal problems. I recently transferred to a bigger apartment within the complex because I outgrew the 1-bedroom. The most recent management change is a breath of fresh air. While moving always has challenges, Andrea and Taylor have been very attentive to any issues that came up. Maintenance has been extremely responsive both at my old unit and my new one. I've spoken to a couple of the maintenance guys (I don't remember their names) and they are very nice and extremely competent at what they do. I don't like people coming in my apartment when I am not home, and maintenance was able to make appointments with me whenever I submitted a request and they showed up on time each time!!! This is a very large apartment complex in a city that is full of drug addicts and homeless people, so there is a lot that the management and maintenance do not have control over, like dumpster divers, vehicle break-ins, foot traffic outside apartments, delivery drivers leaving packages out, and once in a while people acting a fool in public areas. We are in an apartment complex in Tacoma, people, not an Airbnb in the Hamptons. When you have this size of apartment complex, there will always be those challenges, so protect and insure yourselves and your belongings. That is the reason I only gave 4 stars. It's unfortunate to hear about the people that have had problems here. Based on my experience, I am confident that the new staff is doing everything they can to address issues quickly. I fully plan on being here for at least the next few years."
"The main office of this place looks very nice but do not be fooled. The management of this place is horrible. You can not believe the experience I had with them. I applied for leasing the apartment a few month ago but I could not reach out to them until the last minutes. When I could get a hold of them finally, they said that they needed more documentation from me. You know what? I am financially over qualified to rent the apartment, but they did not do what they should do on their end so all the process got messed up. After all the horrible drama, I decided to cancel my application. I wasted of my time and energy, but now I think that I made a right decision to cancel my application."
"I have had animals living in my ceiling directly above my bed for over 6 MONTHS! I let the office know immediately upon first hearing squirrels enter, and maintenance told me all they had to do was wait for the squirrels to be out, replace the broken vent, and trim the nearby tree branches. Seemed simple enough. Over half a year later and nothing has been done! I communicate constantly with the office, and regardless of calling in or visiting in person, most of the time you'll get "We'll call you back later with an update" and they never do. After far too long of sleeping on the couch / my car / friend's couches, (once we found out there was now a "LARGE RACCOON" living directly above me, breaking through the metal in my ceiling light, causing CONSTANT loud noises making it impossible to sleep safely - they finally gave me access to a model unit to sleep in while they worked on fixing the issue which had spiralled out of control. A week later, and there was no action taken, I let them know I was finding another place to sleep until the end of my lease, and they told me I'd get half off my remaining rent in return. This was honored for the first following month, but we are now approaching the next payment, which is, surprise - full price! I visited the office to ask about it today, and was told the manager was on lunch, and they would call me back within an hour for an update. Nearly three hours later id heard nothing back, so I visited the office again, only to learn they had all decided to go home early! Glad they get to go home to their safe houses - mines a literal danger and I'm being charged so much more than they promised. I am not a confrontational person, I am not a complainer, I've never even left a review in my life. I've lived at places most people dislike but I loved. BUT THIS PLACE - listen to the reviews, all the ones I've read seem true, and it's just as bad as the reviews make it out to be. I will update or remove this negative review the moment things are made right, but I'm doubtful. Edit: The response left by management claiming they'd call me today 7/25/2023 was a lie, I received no communication, and the office is closed for the day. Final edit: My rent for the time I wasn't able to safely sleep in my apartment was not waived until the very last day of my lease, and only after persistently stopping in the office in person almost daily, having to make multiple legal threats, and having to contact and work with GRE Management directly (the office staff will not do this, even though they say they are). Even contacting and getting a response from GRE was a nightmare that took months (many urgent messages left with CJ and her receptionist, all with promises of call backs that never came for months). My compensation for all the stress I've endured and the countless hours I've spent on the phone and in the office over an issue that could've easily been fixed eight months prior? They waived my move-out carpet cleaning fees. Yup, that's it. The office managers Kat and Sahra seem to hate eachother and blame any issues happening on the other. Kat ranted to me multiple times about how Sahra lies, does things without approval from GRE, could potentially get fired, disobeys her boss's orders. Sahra told me that Kat pisses her off and doesn't take any responsibility. They won't respond to rental references for your next apartment unless you literally go in the office and sit next to them and watch them do it. Even then, they will include errors that get you denied and leave you scrambling for a place to live while they try and get their act together enough to resubmit a legitimate reference. Because of this, I had an unexpected gap of nearly a month after leaving The Lodge in my housing - I was homeless for this time, thanks to their mismanagement. I've gone through at least three or four sets of managers in the less than two years I lived here, I have no doubt these two will soon be transferred and replaced with equally incompetent people. AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE!!! Seriously. You've been warned!"
