Reviews of Chelsea Heights Apartments
"Don’t rent here. Greystar is a scam. You’ll live here and be an amazing tenant and they’ll treat you like trash. Random charges and petty notes left on doors. The front desk women at this specific place, hates her job and is extremely rude to the tenants. And they refuse to give out any prior rental history so it’s harder for you to find a place after, it’s like they want you to be homeless. I promise you this place isn’t worth the problems it has. And that front desk women should be fired."
"As many other reviews have mentioned I was sent to collections without notice. Have not lived at the property in two years and all of a sudden I am bombarded with phone calls and e-mails from a collection agency regarding alleged move out fees, just over seventy dollars. At no point in the last two years has Chelsea Heights nor Greystar Management attempted to reach me via phone, Mail, or email regarding these alleged costs owed. In regards to the apartment our keys didn’t work the day we moved in. Had to have our door bolts and keys replaced before we could even get in, that should have been the precursor to how experience at Chelsea Heights went."
"NEVER STAY IN THIS APARTMENT. THEY ARE FRAUD. ESPECIALLY NICOLE MOSLEY AND KASSANDRA HUMPHREY. This was a story of 2021 but they decided to hire a debt company to bring this back up so I have to talk about this. Long story short, because of misunderstanding about the rooms and dates to move in, instead of talking to us nicely, they illegally entered my apartment, kicked my door, yelled at me, and threatened me to get out. They also emailed me to threaten but then accusing me for threatening them. They also disabled our key fobs which locked us in the apartment for the whole 3 months. I had to quit my job to stay at home because my boyfriend, a dentist, couldn’t get back home from work if both of us left the apartment, and we had a 3-4 month puppy by that time too. We had to call the police, contacted many tenant services to help us but nothing had changed. Then after their lawyer contacted us that why we still stayed after they evicted us and we told him they locked us inside the building the whole time and that was illegal, finally they reactivated back our key fobs so we could move out. HOWEVER they emailed us an almost $6000 bill saying that we had to pay them that amount for staying in their apartment while THEY LOCKED US INSIDE THE APARTMENT AND FORCED US STAY THERE. We refused to pay and now they hire a debt collector to force us pay. Please remember my boyfriend is a dentist, we have enough money to pay and we never have any problems with any apartment before or even now. But because this is fraud and scam, we will never pay and happy to bring this to court. PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE."
"Great location, at a very lovely building with friendly management. However, anyone who says they're comfortable with the service and security at Chelsea Heights has broken standards or is a paid plant. I'm not even kidding. There's no meaningful security system. The security gate was broken for nearly six months during my lease, during which a multi-month rash of car prowls and petty thefts occurred. Management encouraged tenants to report the thefts independently to police but did nothing to correct the issue. I have emails to prove Greystar's office was aware of the problem and did nothing. Beyond the basics, they have security doors from the street that are broken in an open state. See photos. Their external rear door can be propped or locked open to the outside with a simple hex key, without any alarm system. No cameras watch this point of entry, which is frankly negligent when so many preventable thefts occurred on a property advertised as "secured". The "secure storage" that costs extra has a gate which was cut open twice during my stay: if the thieves had elected to simply push on the gate they would have found it would open despite its lock. I did not elect to rent this space but other residents had items stolen on a regular basis. I happened across this gate open while locked on a regular basis: enough so, I have a photo of it. Management does not possess and has not maintained records of access cards. They are incapable of identifying who enters secure areas through their own entry system and could not provide proper access control against non-residents without this information: beyond which, they are also incapable of knowing that only residents can access the property. Again, I have emails from property management proving this extraordinary lapse in resident safety on the part of Chelsea Heights is something they are aware of but choose not to fix. All of the furnishing in my unit were the cheapest possible options meeting the "black appliance", "wood-like" and "granite-like" criteria advertised, all available at your local hardware store. Drawers would contact each other when opened and all cabinetry and doors are flimsy. Noise from the interior of the building was quite loud in my room despite floor 4 being generally quiet. Door placement in the unit is a bizarre attempt to advertise more closet space. I was issued a dysfunctional dryer on move-in, which was inspected twice and certified as working by maintenance workers despite its repeated failure to function. On the third polite request to the office, I included a form letter detailing my intent to use rent to repair the issue myself. Management instead replaced my washer and dryer units with recreational vehicle models: see photos. Their maintenance staff informed me during the installation of these improper replacements that they have never cleaned the dryer lines since opening. I would not lease here again for one third of the rent I was expected to pay."
